Cheap 1-piece suit
So, looking at possibly doing trackdays, which means I will pretty much need leathers and possibly a new helmet (Some tracks don't accept the ECE apparently)
While looking at leather, I found the TEKNIC Chicane 1 piece... for $299. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=7609 Anyone have one? I'm very interested in getting the Scorpion Eternity jacket in the near future, and then some leather pants as well... but the jacket alone is $200 more than the whole 1 piece suit. |

http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/gen...e-leather.html The jewel of this thread is this: http://www.csosborne.com/no622.htm Use the correct punch. They're not expensive and will leave a clean-edged hole. Not to menion, they won't stretch the leather making the area lumpy and wavy. If you use a drill, keep in mind that will leave the leather stretched. Believe me. It doesn't take long to punch holes in leather. Granted it takes me a day to cut the pattern, sew and mold for a complete holster. Handsewing leather takes forever. Making the holes with the proper tool is the easy part. If you make vent holes and want to jazz it up a bit, especially larger holes, be sure to punch in eyelets. Not necessarily for chest vents, but if you use them for underarm vents or areas where the leather bends a lot. |

I love my TEKNIC Vixen. It is hot. However it is decently made and comfy. I feel safe. I'm comparing this to a set of Dianese pants I have and some Frank Thomas gear.
