### OTD Prices KTM RC390 - Ninja 300R ###

In the Chicago area I got quoted for a 2015 Ninja 300R ABS for $7000 OTD.

For comparison I also got a price for a KTM RC390 $6,900 Out the door

I'm kinda surprised they're so close.

That ninja is super overpriced.

That price for a brand new KTM though...

I wonder if they are overpricing hoping on the spring bike fever. Seems to me come fall they are going to want to get any and all of those bikes off the floor, prices may come back down to earth then.

Damn, that is a little ridiculous for these little bikes, they are only able to charge that because they have been number one in their class for years. The R3 could change that, then if the R3 becomes number one, Yamaha will jack their prices up as well. Saw the same thing when i was researching compact SUV's for my parents. One year a car that was ranked 5th in its class sold for $5000 less than the next year's model which ranked #1. Once i get my 250 paid off and may need something new for commuting will prob look into other makes, like the R3. I don't think i would ever go with the CBR 300, but possibly the 500 depending on insurance costs. The more i look at that R3 the more i really do want one

Get yourself Costco membership, then get any bike at MSRP without any fees. There's always at least one dealership in the area with the Costco deal, usually the crappiest one, but what do you care - it's a new bike.

There isn't an R version so it's likely a different way to say special edition since that is required to get ABS in the states
