Checked on him after our first night in a new neighborhood. I'm gonna try to convince the roommates to let me bring him inside.

Went for a short ride since I'll be taking her to the shop tomorrow. Played in the twisties around Virginia City, then rode home towards an epic lightning storm. Pulled over to get a better view, and was approached by a young man who thought I was a cop (white modular helmet). Sat and chatted with him and his girlfriend for a long time about my long distance travels. Apparently he thought sportbikes weren't really good for anything as a friend of his whined about riding from Fallon to Reno - 60 miles.

Then headed home and saw I was approaching something very very cool.

Teri AKA Navadawolf, What dash/gauge set is that? Your sig says 2012 Ninja 250R (same bike i have) but the dash on my Ninjette is all analouge and yours seems to be 100% digital! The mileage you quote in your sig is the same as on the dash so where did you get the killer components? Congrats on reaching the 50,000 milestone! Keep riding and setting new goals. Please start a new thread discussing the past 50,000 miles on your little ninja and all (if any) repairs and issues you may have had with the little ninja. I have just over 2,000 miles on mine and would love to hear what wears and how over the long haul. Keep racing up the miles.

I have the Koso RX-2 picked up during a group buy. I had over 10k on at the time so called Koso to see how to get the mileage to match. They said if it came direct from them, they could preprogram the unit in the factory to whatever mileage needed. So, my odo matches my true mileage.

Thank you.

Er, well threads detailing the journey are scattered throughout the site, mostly in this thread and the ride reports area.

So far, no memorable issues bike related. Killed off too many tires, few chains, both rear brake pads worn down, and one sprocket. Nuked the thrice damned CA emissions canister by yanking a hose and running it down to the bottom.

Taking her to the shop as I have settled into a routine of every 5k miles change the oil and minor maintenance. Every 10k miles go to the shop for major maintenance. More frequently, such as recommended, would have me in the shop every two months. This lets me visit the shop quarterly. So far, they've only done basics.

But if you'd like more than that, I can dig through my records and set up a thread giving the exact details. Truthfully though its all been routine expected stuff so far.

.....and i just jinxed myself didn't I?

LOL the conversation was filled with many "You're crazy!" from them, and "Thank you." from me.

But first young man I've met who actually said the words "Oh, a 250 would be fine for what I want. Maybe a 636 later on."

After my wreck i was down and unable to ride for months. When we found the 300 i was still in a cast so we didn't register or insure her. So thats one of the reasons she spent last winter in the house. And so i could stare at her till i was better.

Replaced the stock CCT with an APE manual CCT, and what a difference it makes compared to the bad stocker it replaced.

Err, you'll have to dig around the Koso threads to find other pregen owners looking at them. Maybe @choneofakind might know or read something.

The normal Koso comes with enough wires to make all the connections yourself, just need to be very familiar with the electrical system on the pregen.

@Kruse08 recently installed a trail tech vapor digital speedo. It's not a Koso in terms of coolness, but still a nice looking display. I like how it looks.

I think there's been a few pregen Koso installs around here.

Put my 2015 sticker on the license plate. Can you believe that I pay $115 a year for registration here in California for my Ninjette?

@gantt and @NevadaWolf,

When you mounted the 300 exhaust, did you need to use the 300 passenger peg bracket/exhaust hanger?

I just bought a full exhaust from a 300 to see if it was a direct fit but need this clarification so I can go pick it up as well. Lol

Nope, it was a direct bolt on though @LittleRedNinjette will have to double check with the installer if there were any specific issues. I just watched him remove the old and install the new

Nope no other issues, direct swap.
