That's awesome! There are electric Indy cars so why not motorcycles? Vehicle racing has always brought improvements and innovations.

I kind of watch Formula E (as in I record it and if I'm bored I'll watch it). It's not all that interesting, but mostly because everything seems to be run on street circuits which always wind up being dull.

Good racing is good racing, regardless of the vehicle. One of the best races I ever saw was when they broadcast a whole raft of SCCA races a few years back. It was a husband and wife driving Formula Vees, which have almost no power and are evenly matched. They duked it out lap after lap and it was a hoot. They must have been having a blast.

I only see this as a good thing. I'd love to see some electric motorcycles that have a decent range and quick recharge or battery swapping stations.
