Sick b*****ds

The youtube video has the description:
Quote:
A Chino resident heard a strange noise outside his house and when he looked there were two men, one white male and one Hispanic male rolling his motorcycle into a trailer. The man and a friend jumped in the car and pursued the thieves,
RoyalJordian recently had his beautiful Husqvarna Nuda 900R motorcycle stolen. He made a video about it here. The poor dude was/is distraught about it. His main take-away from the event was to never leave your bike out without the steering lock engaged and a disk-lock/wheel-chain attached. As with the victim in the video Cuong posted, it seems likely the scumbags just rolled RoyalJorian's bike into a trailer/van and drove off. In RJ's case he had only left the bike without locks for ~30 minutes.

I know with a disk lock you can still pick the bike up, but:
  1. It's harder to pick a bike up than role it, and it requires more people and probably more time. It makes your bike less of an easy target. Thieves are lazy people. They don't want to work and earn and create. They want to take from others using the minimal amount of effort for the biggest gain. You make their job harder and they will probably go after an easier target (unless they really want your bike... and in which case probably your only cost-effective option is theft insurance :/ )
  2. You can get disk-locks with alarms built-in, so if you're near your bike you have a chance of hearing it being moved. If they see you they may be scared off. If you live in some parts of America you can shoot the ****s.

Nothing will stop thieves from stealing things. Unfortunately the only thing that will protect you from theft is insurance.

It sucks but it's the reality of having nice things.

While chasing a thief to get your stuff back might feel good and you might get your stuff back, you might also get assaulted or worse.

Oh the benefits of having a fugly POS with some miles on it that isn't even worth much in better condition anyway.

-insert comment here written by someone with a thin layer of drool on their chin at all times about how thieves will steal anything and that the only thing for me to do about anything in my life is to get insurance, spread my butt cheeks and accept Shrek's love-
