Wow! He was very lucky. Could still have a whoop-lash type injury though. Too bad about the bike.

I liked how he just walked away from the woman who rear ended him. Sucks that the bike looks to be in shambles

That's why I'm always way to one side when stopped. Had it been an Escalade or an F350 or something, he might he been turned into a sandwich.

But, it's not often you're bike gets totaled and all that touches the ground is the soles of your boots :P .

It is so unfortunate how we are so defenseless in times like these compared to a car. This guy was lucky to say the least.

Woman drivers LOL

at any rate it looks as though she was trying to cut the car behind her off and wasn't paying attention to the cars stopped in the middle of the road. Which btw why were they stopped in the middle of the road? Why didn't he go around? I don't see any stop lights.

Looks like one of those ugly nissan cube things.

Wow! The rider is very fortunate. He could have been trapped under his bike and both vehicles.
The green SUV has only one brake light. The lady in the mini SUV was definitely paying attention to the moving cars beside her. The green SUV stopped because of a car stopped in front of it. Tickets for everybody! (except the biker) I bet the lady in the mini SUV will say see didn't see him.

He probably would have fallen face first if he didn't slam into the suv in front of him. That might be why he wasn't talking, could have had the wind knocked out of him.

I'd say he didn't speak because of anger. Also because she was all up in his face grabbing him.

Woman was on her cell phone if you look at 0:19 she takes it away from her ear and puts it in her pocket. I believe she was also tailgating him in the first place because as the motorcyclist comes to a stop you can see him move his head to look in his left mirror, then his right.

damn that's lucky. I think shock is the first thing. Makes me wonder what happened after those 30 seconds. I suppose it could have been safer for him to move up front instead of stopping behind that car but to be honest, most of the time if I'm not in a rush, I'll take my time and lane changing to get to the front of the line wouldnt be the first thing i'd do. Most definitely, check mirrors as he did.

Just goes to show the inatentiveness of drivers... I can't stand how little people actually pay attention while driving. At least the guy seems relatively okay and he should get a new bike out of the deal... on the bright side it was only a GSX-R... could've been worse... could've been a ninjette, that would have been more of a shame!

Nope, she wasn't tailgating. If you look at the right side mirror at like 7 seconds you can see the small spot getting bigger realllllly quick and then BAM!!! Woman was simply not paying attention. And I say simply, when the results could have been far worse than they were.

+1 on it only being a Gixxer, plenty of low cost replacment parts available... But we all know we wouldn't make that joke if dude had died (glad he didn't).

And what's up with thsoe cowboy boots??

I was wondering about those cowboy boots as well, at the end it looks like he's limping on his left leg, looked like his knee slammed into that suv pretty hard. If you look closely you can see that he hit the suv so hard he pushed it forward a couple feet, yikes.

Damn I still can't believe it. I wen thru that thread. It's amazing he wasn't seriously injured although from the sounds of it he hasn't been to the doctor yet in that thread. I also am with the folks in that thread who say to lock this and delete the video. It could make his case (if he goes to court or mediation) harder.

How is having video evidence of exactly what happened going to make his case harder? I can understadnt eh whole "MY bad, let's make this all disappear" if he was in the wrong and admitted to that, but all he did was stop. Zero fault of his.

True, that. Video shows proper riding and stop, shows other driver failing to pay attention and causing an accident. This is about as open and shut a case as there ever was.

Real suckage would have been if the rider, seeing the fast-approaching silver SUV, had pulled to the left and started to pass the front SUV, only to have the driver of the silver SUV swerve to the left and run him over anyway. In fact, the bike acted somewhat like a spacer between the two SUVs and likely saved his life or prevented more critical injuries.

It's going to be if he has any medical claims. They are going to try and say "Hey, You walked away from it."

I do agree it clearly points who is to fault though.
