FREE mods are the BEST... needle shim

Wow.... that's all I gotta say. I bought the little thing last weekend and has the noticeable lag right off throttle. Maybe that's just a Kawasaki thing...
Found a bunch of little washers in my rollaway and tackled the project. Heard horror stories of y'all not being able to get the screws out and such.

Literally took me half an hour from start to finish... to include syphoning gas outta the tank and taking plastics off. End result is great... no more lag off throttle. Threw in two washers a piece and then yanked the snorkel off the filter housing.

Bike runs good for a 250.

found another free mod to do today. The throttle mod. Instead of using a zip tie with super glue (didn't have any superglue laying around), I used double sided sticky tape. However, I left the side against the cables with the tape on there still. The idea is the same as the zip tie... since the tape is bout as thick, if not thicker than a regular zip tie.

Also adjusted the shifter pedal down a bit... thing shifts pretty smooth. Perhaps smoother than my FZ1. cute little bike

Did you remove the snorkel in airbox?? , that's another freebie makes bike sound bit better and usually goes w the shim.

Any interest in a Red Double bubble HB windscreen? (I can send ya that free!)

Yep, got the snorkel removed as well. Makes a little bit of a growl to it.
Still looking for a plug so I can remove the AIS system from the bike too.

The windshield looks nice but I'd prefer a smoke or clear color. Thanks for the offer though!

Why drain the gas? I find it easier to just prop the tank on an old tire.
