I haven't been to the festival in a few years. Our wedding was a renaissance theme.

My bike is going racing without me! Today I let my friend take it for WERA races at barber. Wish I could be there myself, but if any of you all see it, grab a sharpie and sign your name on the tail or side fairing (just not the tank or windscreen please). You have my permission. And good luck, cause she is fast.

Sure, I record every race. He said he would get pics and vid. I let others ride my stuff, you know that... And Alex.s rode the 250 for 2 days at Jennings this year in Feb.

it's one thing to let someone ride your bike on a track day, entirely another to let them take it to a wera race without you

at least in my eyes, and yep I do know that well

They tarred and chipped my entire road on Friday. A solid mile of gravel that isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I am going to shake the hand of the county road department supervisor on Monday.
We had our chat, it's too late. Already laid down and aint going anywhere. Guess I will have to learn to get really, really good on gravel. Just trying to find a silver lining to this dark cloud.

I dislike tar n chip also. It's just as sucky on a bicycles as it is on a motorbike. Only difference is instead of worrying about grip, you're worried about how long until your hands and butt (and south america) go numb from the constant crazy vibrations. It's a game of shifting weight every 10 minutes.

Glad you got to get Kevin back out there and he had a good day. Dad and I were sad we didn't get a chance to see him this year. He's a fun guy and easy to talk to.

Working on it. I missed a good vid of my son rolling the 4wheeler over on it a few days ago.

I asked him why he crashed, I got back the most vacant stare EVAR!

Had dinner with snot and hubby Jason. Nothing much better than sitting around the table with good friends and good food. Oh, and my super secret wife Stephanie, came out of hibernation to come along. lol

I finally got my chance to make some receipt art for them (attached pic of stealth fighter plane, USAF). It took a sharp left after the pineapple salsa verde and went down.

Also, my bike is home after Ttam's trip to Barber. He had a good time and the bike treated him right.

Today was a good day.

I prefer the black and blue gixxer, so sexy but their reputation makes me want one less than the competition. To clarify, I like gixxers but hate the reputation they have.

RIP Mr. Williams, I never knew him but from what I do know about him he lived a full life.

RIP #47

I found that I typically braked a bit early for turn 7, got the turn nice and tight though every time

For those of you who didn't see my posts on fb. Here is last nights take home along with good memories with good friends.

The gent standing with me is Kevin, he is almost always with me at the track and supported me on race days as the other 50% of my pit crew (Jade is the other 50%). If plans go well, he will be coming the Jennings this weekend.

Thanks to all ya'lls too for believin' in me, the support and keeping me driven goes a long way.

I am glad I am still going on this thread despite being very, very tired. It was a tough weekend but... we rode, we cried, we laughed, we raced, we ate like kings and slept like babies keeping the Nov. chill at bay.

This weekend was at JenningsGP in FL (reference thread here).

Got to meet 4-5 more Ninjetters for the first time.

FoxRider64 - Great rider and even cooler dood. He can keep up with me and get some video, YAY!!! (I don't get recorded very often, so thank you sir!)
Floki - A quiet guy, but when he is exited... smiles like there is no tomorrow and will wheelie over the start finish to make sure every lap is properly "raced"
joeman304 - Knowns how to have fun and is always in for the laughs
chris250 - Great fellow, not shy to make a new paddock friend. We diced it up a lil in the corners before I watched his cbrrr fly away in the straight.

Meet and shook hands with plenty of other non Ninjette riders as well. Finally got to race one of the coaches at Jennings (Ron). So I would like to thank him for the great battle for first/second (out of the 250's) in the moc race. Yes... he won, but almost didn't .

I am sure I am forgetting others and I am sorry to be so terrible with names and also being spread kinda thin between everything going on.

You guys rock!

Spies Like Us

Here is a great story about 2 hungry spies that are waiting for an operative to meet them.

Date: Oct. 5 2014
Location: Putnam Park, IN
Temp: 41 degrees
Humidity: 27%
Wind speed: 10-20mph NW

Spy 1
Name: Kevin
Sex: Male
Age: Unknown
Specialty: Trusty Sidekick, landscaping
Bike: 07 Honda CRBrr
Favorite Color: Black

Spy 2
Name: Chris (aka - Reactor)
Sex: Male
Age: 40
Specialty: Driving long distances without sleep, always hungry
Bike: 2010 Ninja 250
Favorite Color: Red

Operative
Name: Josh
Sex: Male
Age: Unknown
Specialty: Bizarre track gearing, point and shoot riding
Bike: 09 GSXR 600
Favorite Color: Unknown

So our story begins with 2 riders heading to the track to ride one cold Oct. evening. After a 3 hour drive we find a hotel for the night and catch some ZZZZzzzz’s. After a day of riding for Kevin, we are cold and hungry and that is where our dynamic duo has agreed to meet a covert operative at an undisclosed eatery for some I group point and shoot riding technique information.

We leave the track and start the GPS to find the local Red Lobster. Kevin hates seafood but since Chris likes it, he reluctantly agrees since I was his pit support the entire weekend. We leave the track early as well as Kevin skipped his last session, so we are running about .5 hour ahead of Josh. We arrive at the Red Lobster and get seated right away, straight up VIP. Soon after, Chris has a long island in hand and the phone rings…… It says “unknown caller” but I know it is Josh. He is needing the address of our location so he can meet us ASAP. While Chris is on the phone with Josh, Kevin asks the waitress the address of the location. She doesn’t know and tell him she will send the manager over lol. Meanwhile, he looks up the address up on his phone. Then it hits Chris… we are spies, we got this. And so the shenanigans begin , this time instigated by Kevin.

Kevin introduces himself to the manager as a Dept. of Homeland Security officer. He tells the manager we need the address to the location to relay to an operative for a meeting about their credit card security. The manager is totally freaked out about this info and raises an eyebrow about the whole thing and walks away telling us she will return in a few minutes. After a few minutes, the manager returns with the address and a few questions… she asks to see our paperwork. Of course Chris picked up on Kevin’s plan and we are ready. We downloaded images of a Homeland Security Badge on our phones.

We show the badges via our phones and Chris says, “the badges are digital now due to budget cuts.” Lol…. It works for the manager but the waitress smells something fishy that is not in the kitchen of a Red Lobster. Hahahahahahah After a few more long islands and Kevin’s few beers, Josh arrives and rolls right into the scheme without even knowing the plan ahead of time. The manager has escorted him to the table and says “enjoy the meeting” and gets him a beer and takes his order.

At this point we can barely contain the laughter, and the smiles are too much to bare after we ask to be taken to the office to see the credit card processing machine. The waitress calls our bluff and the gig is up. We let the manager off the hook as well and everyone has a good laugh. I even heard a few chuckles from the table next to us.

All in all, it was a great dinner that included others in the fun as well. We shook the hand of the manager and she said come back anytime for dinner and more fun.

Till next time…. STAY FROSTY!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all too! I only wish I had longer to hang out with such a badass group of folks.

I've been riding through sleet and hail already, it snowed after I got home one day and melted before I left the next day so I got lucky there. Hail hurts the neck so much, good thing I am a master of cruising around with one hand (I almost exclusively ride in the rain with one hand to use my left hand as a wiper for my visor)

I can't really help with your goals since you've already done so much more than I could expect from anyone this year, what did you help like 30-40 people to their first track day successfully?

I know my goals are:
1. Don't crash (badly? well if it does happen don't get injured)
2. Have fun
3. Ride a ton of track days
4. Ride on 2 bikes, I can live with just the N250 but a (gsxr)600 as well would be cool
5. Take at least one person to their first track day, easier to do if I offer up my N250
6. Get up to a fast intermediate/advanced group pace, I think the time is to be found on the brakes.
7. I mentioned have fun right?
