Those are more off road/MX boots, what is the price range you are looking at? you can find some decent boots for $150.

check www.sportbiketrackgear.com or www.revzilla.com or www.newenough.com

MX boots are really protective, but pretty hard to walk in. They're also hard to work with on the pegs if your seating position is any more aggressive than a dirtbike's.

Wear what you want. The important thing is to wear boots when you ride.

I have cruiser boots, touring boots, hiking boots, and Aerostich Combats. I wear whatever I feel like with whatever bike.

Yea i just got done watching some youtube videos about it and i guess mx boots don't have a lot of ankle play so i'm going to settle for some street bike boots that look close to mx style

Kind of an oxymoron you know, not giving a rat arse and wondering if you'll look stupid. Nyhoo that point aside, the important part here is that you should have a pair of boots. Try them out and if they are comfortable then go for them, if they impede you in any way, dont. Practicality over looks my friend. Having that said..... I need to go to bed... Flu is turning me into the human torch. Lol

The fact that you ask the question in the first place suggests that deep down you truly do give a f***.

MX boots are the way they are not for looks, but for function. Race boots ditto. If MX boots worked better on the track, then that's what we'd see. But we don't. Racers don't choose gear for looks.

Wear what you like... as long as it protects you.

What i meant was are other riders going to notice and make comments also i figure from the looks of mx boots that they would provide more protection

I am going to be very blunt here but I believe I have to be. Do yourself a favor and stop thinking what others are going to say about how you dress or talk or anything for that matter. Not only when it comes to riding but in general anyways. If you want to listen to others, why ride a 250 mate, get a 600 or a liter bike.
People WILL say they HAVE to say. People WILL have their OPINIONS. I don't know about you but I'd rather be ridiculed than do something or get something that won't give the required protection when riding. Just my 2 cents.

On a side note, you might want to check out some SIDI boots, while not cheap they look wicked.

What would look more stupid, boots or a cast around your ankle?

Can't say that I've tried MX boots on a street bike, just try them out, see if you can work the shifter before buying them (or make sure you can return them)

It doesn't work very well. I actually wore the boots on the right on my wife's ninja. On Saturday. It sucked.

Yea, as many others already mentioned, motocross boots are not comfortable to wear on a street bike. If you really like the look (and I don't blame you, motocross boots do look pretty cool), you can look into getting dual-sport riding boots like this:

http://www.mototude.com/SIDI-DISCOVE...-p/sid-dis.htm

http://www.mototude.com/SIDI-ADVENTU...-p/sit-adv.htm

Although they are also not really made for a Ninja, they'll be a lot more comfortable than a straight motocross boot.
