I buy lots of lightly used gear on CL I just bought a mint Icon alliance on CL for 75 and my other lid I got for 50 I mostly buy Icon Gear or Shoei on CL cause its too expensive new for my taste I will spend the money on the bottom of the line Shark and HJC when they are clearance online though. I got a pair of tourmaster boots brand new for 30 bucks +shipping on the web and used icon super dutys that someone bought but didnt fit well and couldnt return for 40 bucks Ridding safe isnt expensive. |

Thanks for the offer bro, I might just take you up on it some time . My friend is a flight pursuer and keeps going to NY, so we used to send all our packages to his hotel there. Recently the hotel took up a new policy where they refused to hold parcels anymore... So that became a big issue.

Picked up a few things finally
picked up some Sidi fusion boots, Scorpion Deuce riding pants some leather gloves, can't remember what though, but they fit good and feel nice I have a leather bike jacket already, so i picked up a alpinestar motoGP jacket, it fits good and has a liner which is sweet. I tried on every helmet in this cycle shop down the road from me and could not find a single one that fit my odd shaped head good except a Joe rocket RKT-201, i wanted to get a nicer helmet but nothing fit, kinda frustrating. Need to see if i can't find a store that caries some other brands and go try them on as well and upgrade |

Am a newbie (just 700 miles since getting the bike in August), but have spent a lot of money on gear already and the wish list seems to be growing (ATGATT was part of the deal with myself and my wife when getting the bike):
AGV K4 Helmet A* TZ1 Reload Perf Leather Jacket (LOVE this jacket) with A* back protector insert A* SP2 Gloves Icon Hooligan Overpants (wear them over slacks when commuting/over jeans when joy riding) SIDI Way Boots I like the overpants especally for commuting, but will likely look next for a pair of leather pants for weekend rides. Stay safe! |

2. Denim jeans. For winter I have fleece lined denim jeans. 3. Huh? I'm no gear nazi. A good 80% of the time I am fully geared up. I'll dress casually if I am not going far and are commuting somewhere. Anything more than one surrounding town out or if I'm not commuting I gear up. Presently saving for a suit so I can get on the track next year. |

I wear the astars perforated gp-r leather jacket, astars smx-plus, held pole position gauntlet gloves, knox knee guards, and a shoei rf-1100 every ride.
For pants I have dainese new drake air but I don't wear them every ride since they are a little too cut and I have to wear the boots on the outside. I will likely look for something less cut maybe from rev it in the future. In the meantime these are the only pants that get close to fitting me well. Have sedici monza pants for the track. Ballistic Jersey sounds worthless for street, maybe on dirt its okay.

1.) My summer gear depends on how I feel/how hot it is. Most of the time, I wear:
* Icon Alliance Harbinger Helmet * Icon Overlord Perforated Leather Jacket (black) * Icon Sub Stealth Gloves * Blue Jeans * Bilt Trackstar boots If it's just TOO hot, I shed the jacket and just wear a long sleeve shirt. 2.) I usually just wear blue jeans on all my rides. I have a pair of Icon Arc Textile pants that can be worn by themselves or as overpants but I'm usually too lazy/ it's too warm to throw them on. I usually only put them on if I'm going to hit up the only twisty road around here. 3.) Looked up what you referenced and just doesn't look like it'd provide any abrasion protection. Definitely more for dirt than street imo.
