Angry eBay DIY Fender Eliminator with LED

I just recently bought this kit for about 40$ shipped.

Ninja 250 R Fender eliminator complete kit 250R UNIV

The LEDs in this kit are crap. Putting out about 600 mW of very narrow light, instead of the stamped 1W on the cover. 3-4x less visible that the stock signals, they only take up about 51 mA per signal. That's less that 4 mA per LED (there are 14 in all) resulting in uber poor output. There things are not waterproof/and barely water resistant. I poped the cover off with my nail to find out the negative pole wire was about to break. My cellphone give off more light that this. Either buy a proper kit or use the DIYs provided here. this kit definitely isn't worth its price.

Yeah, it's just a waste of time. But they offered me a complete refund. And their shipping service is pretty fast. I received it in about 5 days, and I'm up-north.

no, except shipping. but it cost them $2.71 to ship it to me, and this was across the bordes, so I can imagine that it shouldn't cost that much more to send it back.

and even if its $5 s&h, most sellers don't even offer a refund unless defective. at least I'm not stuck with it.

And about the main bracket, it is very light, but requires you to chop off the tail anyways. This kit included nothing to bolt the bracket on and come with NOTHING but the bracket. Not even Instructions, but then again, I probably would of have figured it out myself.

What they have to say: "The installation is so simple that it does not require/include any instructions."

Anyways, I'm keeping an eye out on fatbikez.com

If you do buy something use this coupon code: ship4free
You can take a guess what you get with that.

I was looking at that one originally. Might be up for selling mine. Going with the Ducati Tail with the integrated turn signals. I want to wait till I get it before I decide to sell, might still need a license bracket (but I might be able to make one)

You can buy license plate brackets for 3-4$ at your local automotive store, if that's all you need check it out, or for 5$ ill buy and ship one to you. I hate to see people getting ripped.

Those blinkers look neat, but sorry to hear it did not work out.
I bought the Targa kit last year but did not like the fit & finish. I took my time and did a very professional looking custom job.

Yeah, I definitely love the blinkers style, but you can get them for 6-12$ on eBay if you look. I'm looking at the Targa kit now. Probably the one I'm going for. I absolutely want a no-cut Fender Eliminator (FE)

Research it well before you buy the Targa kit. I was really disappointed in it myself, but i'm VERY picky.

Well I've looked at a few of them, so far I don't like the Competition Werks I believe is a CUT, so that's out of the question.

This standard kit, is very decent to my likings:

http://www.bikelitez.com/PhotoGaller...=K0809250RSTDF
But for 150$, I'm going to keep searching.

I'm also considering the Hotbodies complete undertail this one is 125$, its transparent black and covers the taillight.

Maybe Ill make my own out of fiberglass? That could always be an option

The Bikelitez kit looks ok except for those blinkers and $150 is way too much $$ for what ya get.

I like that hotbodies undertail kit. It looks really clean. I just pulled up the installation instructions from their website. Looks like alot of cutting for this one, but wow it looks nice.

Even though I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the kit, this seller is definitely getting positive feedback. He refunded me before I even shipped his package back to him. A+++

I dont like the compwerkes bc it requires cutting. not a fan of doing things that can't be undone.
The bikelitez looks pretty decent tho but idk about the price

I found the perfect Eliminator Kit to my likings, about 100$ shipped, pretty simple but definitely love the finish. Comes with interchangeable license plate brackets.

+1

But best of all, it is made in 1 piece:

Hey Jon great choice... I got the rumble concept fender elim they included a LED LIC light wich is ok... seems yours has fins to close up any gaps at the top( or is it the cowl??) i was considering getting this but i think projekt was in some far away land -lol-... also the intergration of the lic plate light seems like a blessing...

You can take a drill to the hook and light mouting rivits on the stock fender and reuse your loading hooks and stock lighting... wich i think is a lil safer and you wont have to fumble with LEDS harness ect... But great choice...

I really like the projekt D fender eliminator but when i went to their website i couldn't find much information on the company. I couldn't find where they were situated or what country they in and how much it was for international shipping assuming they're outside Canada.

I don't believe so by looking at the pieces. I have my tail off right now and they seem to fill the hole i have now. Here's the link if you want to go look.

If you don't feel comfortable buying directly from them, they also sell their products through eBay. There you are covered by PayPal if anything happens.

At this point, I have looked at every eliminotor kit out there. I'm not sold on any of them, expecially for what they cost. I did a custom job on mine that cost me $14.75 only because I bought LED tag bolts. It looks far better than any aftermarket kit I have seen. I will be chop'n my friend's fender this week. I will have to get some pics posted.
