Lake Perris, Ca 9/28
You know all that water you always see when you go riding your bike because the nicest roads always lead to/from water?
I tend to stop and fish that water. I only caught a lil guy today. Released him unharmed like always, as trained. Enjoy the pictures. I'll get a bigger one next time. I have caught fish to 8lbs from that lake. My secret spot has been grown over. I used a plastic worm to catch a fish no larger than the plastic worm itself.. The Launch Equipped with a bike and a rod. Considering I have the flu, not a bad two hours. Had to get some fresh air.

How'd you attach the pole to the bike? Hopefully not the same way HB did
Where is Lake Perris at anyway? |

KC, you should've told me you were out on Lake Perris! I live close to it, but embarrassingly enough, I've never been there.

Nah I was sick and only fished a total of half hour in the heat in the middle of the day. The two hours part was roun trip.
I can do much better in better conditions. hehe. Once I kick the flu I imagine I will get my patience back. The rod is a custom two piece I built/wrapped. You can see the last picture it is hanging out of my Ogio No-Drag backpack

no way I'm riding two up with a guy either lol. You are lucky you live where you live. Two summers ago I used to sneak in there and catch huge fish all night long. lol Big giant largemouth bass on a lure called the "chatterbait". 20-30 fish a night. Just catching them, fighting them in and letting them go. I used special "Daiwa Steez" fishing reels made of ultralightweight magnesium and crazy carbon fishing rods. If I lived where you lived I would be there sneaking in Ninja Fishing every night. Fishing is really fun. I don't like to eat them or kill them, I just like to fight them and get a picture and let them go unharmed (just a lip piercing and a bit tired out). I use lures instead of bait so they don't swallow it and get hurt. Most people would think fishing is just boring and standing there all day waiting but the lures I use require you to impart action on them so you are actually busy the whole time. when you learn to do it right and learn how to find the fish good with notion, you become a good fisherman and are able to catch fish just about every time. Sometimes I even bring my inflatable raft out there with the big giant 4ounce trout lures and really put the hurt on some large fish. When you get a 7lb fish or better such as this one, sometimes they fight hard enough to pull your whole raft around in the water. She was hungry. =)

The largest fish I caught before was a 20lb striped bass on a Triple Trout lure from Diamond Valley Lake in Hemmet, earlier this year.
That fish seriously rocked my world. That is a very large fish for most freshwater fisherman's standards. Here is two smaller ones, these were only about 8lbs each. I don't have the photo of the 20lber. He was so big he broke the hooks off my lure and swam away after flopping around on shore for a good minute. He was too sharp to grab or I would have been hurt also. Since they are an invasive species, I take these ones because they take the food from the green bass. I caught these two back to back on a surface lure. They jumped out of the water to eat my lure. Sometimes I use a kayak too! Fishing is really fun. Like Motorcycles. They both get you away from the keyboard.
