how long u keep your stock tires?

How long have you kept your stock tires on before upgrading? this will be my 2nd riding season coming up (in Canada, so snow right now till April/march).

I noticed the stock tires are garbage and i can feel the tire slipping a lot when riding, especially when cold roads in the morning. thinking of upgrading to the 140s front and 110rear. There is plenty of tread on the stock tires but they don't grip good.

Any help is appreciated

you mean 110 front, 140 rear?
i still have mine on and its already down to the wear bars. yes they grip like crap but i decided just to save a bit and wait till the tires wear down then upgrade. its grips decently when conditions are right, yet feels scary when leaning the bike over down to the edge.

Yeah I feel you, IRC Road Winner is garbage. My tires were at 11,000 KM and had to be changed, they were dead, It was very slippery when I was driving 130KM/h in heavy rain comming back from QC city. Especially on the paint.

Mine were just replaced at 7300mi, and I was already in the wear bars. I went with Pirelli Sport Demons in 110fr 140rr, and I love them. Only put 100 miles on them, and they are just as better as everyone claims.

I rode the IRC's until about 9K miles... I then upgraded to Michelin Pilot One Tires 150/60 Rear 110/70 Front, which I got from racebikerentals as race take offs. I never really had anything to complain about the IRC's... they never failed me and I rode them pretty hard. I do like the Michelin's... they are super soft and are sticky even when cold. If they are causing you problems you should probably at least check your tire pressure... that really does make a difference. If you feel it's really the tire than go ahead and change them out

I kept them till they were done, which took about 11,300 miles. Replaced them with michelin pilot activs, next tire will be pirelli diablo rosso II.

I'm looking at the Rosso II's as well, now being in the smaller sizes I can't wait.

I'm gonna try to squeeze what I can out of these tires. I have 3,500 miles on them and I expect to finish them by 10,000. But, I hope I get new Rosso II's by 7,000 to 8,000.

The IRC's don't heat up fast enough to even consider hard riding, they handle ok on wet roads. They don't seem very responsive when you start to get in to the twisties.

They are great for what they are, but I would can't wait to switch to a tire with more technology. I also want a tire I can heat up quickly, handle wet roads, grip in all angles, and last a good time, which is why I love the Rosso II's.

I'm thinking of upgrading my tyres soon, even though I'm only at about 3,000miles. Everybody that has changed keeps talking about how crap the stock ones are. I am going to go 110 and 140, but not sure if I want the Sport Demons or the Diablo Rosso IIs.

I was looking to upgrade tires this up coming season and go with sport demons in 110/140 sizes but now with the rosso II's being offered in these sizes I found a new tire to go with.
