[visordown.com] - Motorcycle sales continue to show big growth

THE steady growth in UK bike sales shows no sign of abating in these new figures just released by the Motorcycle Industry Association.

They show 11.3% more new motorcycles have been registered so far in 2015 than in the same period last year.

'Adventure sport' bikes are up 22.1%, no doubt helped by new and updated models like Triumph's Tiger 800 XRx, Ducati's Multistrada 1200 and Yamaha's MT-09 Tracer. Naked bikes are up even more, by 32.2%.

It comes after figures in January and February also showed growth.

An MCIA spokeswoman said: 'Good news again regarding new motorcycle registrations. Year-to-date figures are up 11.3% and there was a 10.7% increase when comparing this May with May 2014.'
