----------------- The first official Moto2 test, where the entire field is gathered together, kicked off today at Jerez under excellent conditions, the day bright and sunny. Conditions were so good that lap records were quickly under assault. Remy Gardner finished the day as fastest, dropping under the qualifying record by over three tenths of a second. The Australian finished a quarter of a second ahead of Enea Bastianini on the Italtrans Kalex, who was in turn two tenths quicker than veteran Tom Luthi, the Swiss rider ending the day in third.
