The most important piece of gear
What do you consider to be the most important piece of gear? Let's say you only have time to grab one item of gear besides your helmet before a massive wave of nazi zombies overruns your position, what will you bring with you?

Jacket. If you know how to take a fall like a stunt man, you can protect your hands with your jacket. :-)

@trixter I hurt my hand the other day to the point where I had to have it wrapped up and immobile. The entire time I was thinking of you and a guy I work with that has one hand. I thank God that I have the use of my limbs, and I respect the people who don't have the use of all of their limbs. I have Addison's Disease, so I am not perfect, but I am appreciative of the fact that a majority of my organs work.
So, respect for your one hand. I can't imagine living life that way, but I have people who can't imagine living life my way. All we can do is cope. |

I bet the wrecked bike didn't even concern him. All he could think about is "Damn, I'm good!"

I voted boots because if the gang of nazi zombies came, I need to protect my feet so I can run!
I could still beat them off with an injured hand or arm. But without the ankle, you are zombie food! |

Yea I figured people would all go for the boring helmet answer so I took it out. You already had your helmet on when you heard those zombies approaching.

You can't fight off any zombies if you hands are bleeding out. I mean gloves are the obvious choice. Plus with the knuckle protectors you can punch the sh** out of them and your hand won't even hurt.
I am going for the gloves! Goodluck to the people who pick anything other than gloves. |

When you have that get off, see which parts hit the ground first. Your knuckles or your sack. I guess you could hold on to one cheek and your nuts with gloves on.....hmmmm?

I vote for the bike being the most important piece of gear - without that you are just a model.

Ya, I seriously love to see some girly girl ride the sand dunes dressed like that. It hurts getting hit in the head by a bee at speed, with a freakin' helmet on.

Totally not true. I sleep in my boots, so no time loss there. Zombie attack, I reach for my Aerostich Roadcrafter - awesome zombie gear. Easier to put on than a pair of pants due to nifty full length step in zipper, AND you get both pants and jacket in one fell swoop. I'll pick up the gloves on the run (hanging on a hook by the door). You see, I plan for everything, including zombie attack.
