Take two and make one
I bought the 2003 Ninja 250 about a month and a half ago for $200 as a basket case. After sinking about $200 more into it, I had the bike running and riding! It looks like hell but overall a solid bike to dink around on.
Then the 1989 Ninja came up on craigslist for $600 OBO since it had a motor that was making weird noises. I decided to take the two bikes and make a really nice 1989 Ninja to keep along with just a thrasher '03. So far the 1989 kept its fairings, wheels, and gauge cluster, but I swapped the wiring harness, controls, cooling system, cables, motor, and exhaust over from the '03. I wanted all of the younger parts on the bike, and while I was at it, I swapped in a GSXR rear shock, built a battery box, and some other farkles here and there. Here are a few pics!     And now the 1989 gets to act like she's a big bike by hanging out with my Blackbird-
