So buy it and hold onto it until I reach a nice round number, then swap it while documenting everything huh? That's an option.

That is what I am hoping for. I don't want to be able to do it myself (the whole falsify thing) but since it is digital, figured direct from the factory might be able to. I'll contact them since I just rolled over to 10K a week or so ago.

:snerk: At least that's better than the Ferris Bueller idea.

I'm going to try Jason's suggestion first. If Koso.says Nope then I may have to break out the fan.

Course this implies my truck stops breaking and let's me save up enough to get in on this deal.

Let me know what they say. I was just gunna ignore it and keep track of the mileage myself but if Koso can do it then that'll make it much easier. If not, then like you, I'll break out the fan and somehow rig it to work that way too.

Just heard back from Koso...
Hello

Thanks for your interest in our products. Unfortunately, the mileage can only be set on our side before we send you the instrument. If you wish to have a specific mileage on the meter, please give us a call on our toll free line to place the order 1-877-777-0604. You can ask to speak to Melanie. Ask for the free shipping !

Regards
Team Koso
@RaceTech Electric, given this new info, is this something that you can still work with your group buy, or am I (as the end user) required to work directly with Koso?

Thanks for posting this. Good to have an official response from Koso. Melanie is my contact there, she is very good. Based on this info, I will handle it. You tell me the mileage you would like, and I will have each unit preprogrammed.

Then Koso and you have another customer!

1. @DreamN
2. @Ausoi
3. @Red250R
4. @NevadaWolf
5.

So, just PM you when the fifth person signs up or add a comment to the group buy purchase page?

I just need to remember to garage my bike after ordering so I have a solid transition between the stock and replacement odometers. This is COOL!

As soon as we have the 5th person locked in, I will contact all of you. We will decide whether or not to wait another week or two, or jump in with the order. I will collect payment and then get your mileage numbers.

I had one of these gauges and it spoiled me! I highly recommend it. With the plug and play kit and KOSO bracket, it only takes about 5 minutes to install once you take the front fairing off. Very very simple.

It was probably the single most complimented mod I did to that bike. Even my 636's gauges feel like FisherPrice gauges compared to the KOSO

Note: I had bought a custom bracket and volt from Wayanlam

The Only difference I could see is one is maxed at 15,000 rpm and the other is 20,000 rpm

The difference is basically the RPM range and the shape/layout of the gauges. Similar features. If you're in, post up here confirming and I'll get this going!

Only one issue I might have, I am military stationed overseas. Is shipping to APO's an option? If so any idea how long it usually takes to ship out and what service is used to ship them. I am PCSing to Turkey soon so I don't want to leave Germany and it not be here before I leave.

I can ship to an APO address via USPS. The parts will take 7-10 days to get to me from Koso. I will then ship everything out via USPS.

(Mini bump)

Since @JanqeD is going to Turkey, is there a way to hold the gauge until s/he gets there and then send it out? Just in case there would be a close call of missing the package?

Not all at familiar with international shipping...

If it helps meet group buy requirements, I'm willing to spend $20 on the adapter plate (already got the gauge without it during the first GB).

Who me? nah. I'd rather hand that money over to the nice gentlemen at Mid-Ohio so I can use their track.

Besides, I already put some work into updating my gauges a bit and I like the way it looks.

Hey guys, sorry I've been really sick and out of the shop for a bit. I'll take a closer look through this thread tonight, and count up the guys locked in. I just spoke to someone on the phone, and think we'll have at least 5. I'll be posting the final list soon and contacting everyone to get this rolling. Anybody else!?

I'm very interested in this!

Will you ship to Australia? Would you be able to give me a rough idea on how much it would cost to post to New South Wales, post code 2560?

Also, from the specs I can see that the unit can be set to KMH (instead of MPH) and the odometer can be set to KM (instead of miles). Is there any chance you can also have a predefined odometer KM reading programmed by Koso when you order?

Thanks!

OK I'm back in full force, feeling good again finally. Shipping to NSW would be $60. Yes, I will have Koso program whatever mileage (or KM) you'd like when I order the units.

OK here's what I've got so far. Please check this out guys and let me know if you're still committed. I have 4 buyers in on this. We still need one more.

I have:

1) DreamN

2) Ausoi

3) NevadaWolf

4) merc

Am I missing anybody here? One more and I will close this and get things moving.

Evan

Hey @Red250R, you still in this? If so, there's our five total unless @DreamN is truly out due to upgrading to the 300.

Oh, guess I should add I'm still in. Healed my credit card enough to grab this one.

Thanks! It was a pretty rough week. I was a zombie for awhile, not fun.

So we've got 3 guys locked in!

Sorry guys. I'm out. Picking up a 300 this weekend and more than likely swapping most of my goodies from the 250r. Then a for sale sign is probably in the near future.
