Does anyone see a design flaw in this product?
I was looking for some clutch parts on ebay and came across this.
The seller lists at the bottom "Thank you From China & Good Luck!" Is this a joke? The only thing more odd than the part itself is the fact that there are 14 people watching the auction/sale.... Am I missing something? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CNC-Brake-Cl...bfb4b8&vxp=mtr

Those have been for sale for years now. Seems perfectly safe to me.

seriously... wtf.
amputated fingers? no one has ever crashed a bike and had the level smash their knuckly tightly onto the grip? I guess this lever set would be a solution to the "bashed knuckle" problem but it would only create the "missing fingertip" problem.

I don't see any reason to have blades attached to my bike.

Motorcycles ARE a design flaw. They have two wheels and are highly dangerous. They forgot two wheels.

To be fair, I doubt these things are really all that sharp. Still a pretty stupid design imo.

Looks pointy as hell though. Don't clip anyone. They might file battery charges.

There's a reason clutch levers have a ball on the end...its so the lever doesn't impale your wrist or ankle when you dump it.
Spiked levers, barends, and pegs are worse than flipflops. |

They have a lot of material on the blade side so it be hard to cut your finger off. Now with that they are not DOT approved and say on most packaging for show use only.

I've seen a few of these up close on neighboring bikes in the motorcycle parking lot and while they aren't sharpened, they do come to a wedge that with enough force, say a motorcycle accident, could very easily separate digits or anything else that is unlucky enough to get caught in the guillotine. And those tips are pretty prominent. Not knife sharp but they can easily go through soft flesh with enough force or do a number on another vehicle if you screw up splitting lanes.
