I can't/don't have the equipment to weld.
If anyone has a welding machine and would be willing to Fab one for me I would be willing to pay for it.. Has to be somewhat solid.

Either way.
I have a bent frame so it doesn't matter and I don't ride passengers 2up on this bike.

Yes, I'm trying to keep the fairings on.
I can cut around the bars into the fairings if necessary. I may go down to home depot and look for some steel brackets or something that I can sheet screw onto the frame. I have to go get rivets to gut my exhaust still too. I wish I could get it under the seat somehow. If no go at the depot, I'll give you a ring, yo.

I need something like this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-02...item1c1dbb4a88 Or this would even be more ideal.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-02...item1c1dbb4c54 But they don't make them for our ninja. I may have to have something welded on. I wish I could go see those in person to measure and see if I could modify to screw on the ninja.

might i recommend making a honeybadger pole? but instead of PVC maybe something a little more durable? his 12-o-clock bar only lasted one use!
edit honeybadger pole: attaches in place of the rear seat, no plastic mods, simply remove rear seat, attach bar, when done remove bar and reattach seat

OK here is what I need/want.
It's just a simple metal U shape with a kick up to it. Will this work Alex S.? It has to be wide enough to fit my huge boot in there. Here's the skinny part Here's the wide part A shot from the back for good measure Here is the side of the frame with everything removed. I want to bolt directly to the top of the frame bar... Like this. That way I will clear the tail light and still be able to stand on the bar and everyone can still see my tail light. I'm thinking something along the lines of this but maybe a bit longer so my foot can get in there.. You get the idea. (You can really see my bent frame in this picture lol) Let me know if you can help me out. I'm really interested in getting this done.

I want to just go find something, but I'd rather it be perfect.
I just need this dang wheelie bar and the two sprockets and chain and I'm set. I think I have the gears and chain covered gonna order any day. I'm wondering if I can just go find a Sissy bar from a Harley at Chaparrel and chop it down. The bar I need doesn't even actually have to have a bend/kick up. I'd just like it. I'll cover it in grip tape. I already have shogun sliders and the gearing will make me go five miles an hour. Can't imagine learning wheelies would be too hard like that! I can walk faster.

... is that an imperial tape measure? on a metric bike?... ewwww
i think you should mount it with two plates extending from the outside of the rear frame tubes through the seam in the plastics then weld the bar to those if you want it to be a bar and not another plate though it looks like it might need to be a few inches longer than what you've got mocked up with the tube... not sure you could always put the oem tail on... makes a decent 12 bar right? just breaks after the first few times

That is the OEM tail.
I just cut the mudflap off. I need a real 12 bar plain and simple. I'll go ask a welding/metal shop. It's a very simple piece to make.' Quote:
If I took the taillight off I could just stand on the frame passenger seat latch and skid on the frame tubes but I still have to be able to ride to and from the stunt spots legally. Thats why I want it to attach above the tail frame. To keep the light visible but still have that bar above it. It will exit right through the tail light housing plastic top piece. I'll make two round holes with a dremel. Look what this guy is using.. Something coming off the bottom..

Go Home Depot!
This should work perfectly. By the way it was hard as hell to bend those tubes how I needed them, I'm sure it'll be just fine. $20.. Next!

Yeah kinda cheesy but screw it.
When I break it I can make another for $15. lol I'll probably bend the frame first. Speaking of which I just broke my drill while drilling through the steel pipes and frame to put the huge 3/8" bolts in. I'm half way finished and now I need a freakin' drill motor. Can't ever get off cheap or quick. I got two of the four bolt holes drilled dammit. I wanted to go test it out tonight lol. Bwaaaaaaaaaat

Skill 18V.
I figured the batteries were kinda hot so I stuck one in the fridge and it cooled it down, then stuck it back in the charger and it's charging again. We'll see if it works again. I think I overheated it?! I didn't know the batteries would have a kill switch inside like that. Kinda cool/crazy?! I thought I was about to have to go drop 2 bills on a Dewalt.

I think the batteries are taking a dump.
They are kinda old. Even so, I managed to get two of the four bolts in. The wheelie bar already holds my weight just fine with two bolts. It should handle the weight of the bike no problem with all four! You can see I'm cutting all kinds of tabs and stuff lol. Anybody want to go asphalt skiing? Those 3/8" bolts are so hard to get through there! All the stronger it should make the rig..

OK let's wrap this one up. Almost finished.
I wonder if Alex can move it to the tech section if he sees this since I ended up making the dang thing instead of buying one from somebody. I finished drilling last night and indeed I did break my Skill 18v drill. This time I broke the chuck! lol I had that thing for years and never a problem until I drilled the frame. Ah well. Here's some pictures with the undertail and the seat back on. Just have to put the side plastics back on and trim the bolts. Will have to shape the plastics around the bar a bit. Check it out, seat still fits!

That rip in the back seat covering is from my crash,, not from a crappy install!
Now to do the gearing and figure out how to use it.
