It really sucks that.....

You can't find many Pre-Gen "look" replacement or upgrade parts for our bikes!
Sure we can buy a Fender elim kit, but barely anyone has fairings and turn signals or headlight kits for our bikes! This bike is compatible with 20 years of 250 ninja's! Why does nobody have any of these parts?????

I agree. Own a Jeep also and get catalogs for everything from CJ to JK. But if your bike was made before 2008 you can't even get a adjustable clutch & brake levers. Outa luck on Farkle unless ya want to buy newer bike

Honestly if there is a high demand I can get in touch with people and start mass producing farkles. The thing is right now is that the new gen has the spot light and the pre gen is being shoved over like a redheaded stepchild.

You can swap out the clutch and brake levers from a new gen onto the pregen and that will open up some options. You can also use generic turn signals on the pregen that people use on the new gen. You just have to look and see what is currently out there and do some legwork of your own. That's what modding is all about.

That wa sthe case even before 2008. The 88-07 250 was never viewed as a "keeper" bike so the aftermarket didn't make a whole lot of parts. Airtech did because they cater to the racing circuit, and since there is a 250 class, it was profitable for them.

There is a member on here who promised to produce an updated fender and many other things in CF for the pregen as well as the newgen. The current-gen fender looks very easy to fab onto the pregen forks anyway.

I talked to Airtech Streamlining and they are definitely interested in a fairing group buy discount. I haven't had any time to negotiate or set it up nor any money to participate, but I still plan to. Just wait until you see what I am going to do to a pregen with a race fairing (custom headlight shape) and some newgen parts!

Don't forget about all the newgen parts that fit:
The complete forks and triple with brakes and wheel from a newgen allow the modern newgen front fender out-right with more modern spoke design and now have little fork protectors. The shock + swingarm + rear wheel and brake allow significant performance and style improvements/benefits, like better tire selection, adjustable shock, Indonesian "kondom" swingarm cover and rear tire hugger (might need to raise the tail with shorter dogbones). The pedals/footrests/heelguard and sprocket cover bolt right on and replace a lot of that dated-looking unpainted stuff. The larger frame caps over the swingarm pivot fit perfectly (get rid of the chrome stuff).

All in all, mine is looking very good already.
