Someday it will get a full resto. 1969 with 32K miles. 6 cyl, auto, 2+2. Not the most desirable car but it's mine.

It's been repainted and they didn't do a good job. Paint is bubbling by the louvers and there are some ugly spots. Needs a new headliner. Needs work!

I just picked up a 2016 Subaru BRZ with 8 miles on the odometer last Sunday. Less than a week later I'm just over the 500 mile mark.

I absolutely love it so far.

The photo doesn't do the car justice.

Nice ride. I've had a few Jaguars. They are more stunning to look at than drive. I had a XK150S in high school, a Mark IX, and two E Type 12 cyclinders. I did take one of the E Types cross country with no problems, but that is rare.

Don't ever get rid of it. If you do you will regret it.

Thank you!

It was my Grandfathers car. It's not going anywhere. It's a little underpowered, sure, but railing a corner without lifting is what they excel at!

I always loved brz's, but the 200hp was a bit of a letdown. Are they putting turbos in them yet?

The 200 hp isn't so bad really, it takes a bit to get re-calibrated if your used to 400 or so but the car works well with the power it has.

I mean I'm sure it's fine, but my Z has 300, and even that doesn't amaze you.

It's funny getting this type of a comment on a 250cc motorcycle forum. I would expect it more from an R6 forum.

No turbo stock but there is a huge aftermarket for turbos or superchargers if you are willing to drop a few extra grand.

If I bought the car expecting 5000hp performance I might be disappointed. I didn't and I'm not.

I'm not talking drag launches. That's a skill. I'm talking About the thought that a light and balanced sporting car needs the power. It's the ninjette of the car world. most of the driving population juts mashes their foot into the floor anyway and treats their vehicle like an appliance.

Obviously I love the ninjette aspect, thats why I own a Ninjette, but personally in a car its no fun unless it can take curves and throw you in the back of the seat. And circlejerking about people wanting more power is worse than circlejerking about wanting more power.

Oh dear lord....that is totally the norm around here. Every stop light becomes a drag race if it's two lanes wide....

Only in the summer months after 7:00 here. Or any time if it is after a school event.

Fair enough on the enjoying power thing. There is something fun about having way more motor than you need, but to me that's a novelty that wears off. However, a balanced lightweight fun car is something you come back to, even if it's not a brute. Read: Miata. I drove a buddy's NA a couple times a few years ago and loved it. Been dreaming of getting one ever since.

The ego stroking part... I disagree, but that's okay.

As a owner of a 24 valve, 6 cylinder 3.5 liter v6, technology and boost are nice, but there is no replacement for displacement. The old 2 valve per cylinder long stroke big displacement motors are one if a kind.

That's the new engine build too. Scored a zero-mile engine and built it up !
My old engine was built too but this time I went nuts with it. No turbo - wanted to keep
It sc'd

HAHAHAH!

It's for sale.

Technically not mine. Just in my care while I try and sell it for a friend of the family. However, if I had the skrilla I'd keep the thing. HOLY SMOKES is it a giggle fest to drive! Has alcohol injection for a nice added kick.

Yours is HOT! Those things are so under rated. Total sleeper car. Ever take it to the strip?

It's been an awesome daily since I bought it. I fix it, mod it and tune it myself. It drives like a regular car but dig into the pedal and you get instant-grin !

It sees the tracks here and there. My buddy has the same car similar mods. I can post some of his passes. 13s 12s. Slicks would help too

I had no idea that GSX existed. Did some reading about it because of your post. Thanks for sharing that!! It's a sweet ride for sure.

Thanks for checking it out. I can talk GSX all day. There is only 3 of us left with a true gsx and we are close friends now because of it.
I been the go-to for parts and knowledge. Hunting down these rare parts as they are becoming junkyard relics now
Since owning this car I've meet so many people - 2 of which turned out to be my closest friends. The one I was his best man and now god father of his children eand we live 2 miles apart. The other he's 3 hours away in Canada but we talk weekly and meet up few times each year.

But back to cars. The GM 3800 bottom end can handle turbo boost up and over 22psi. Mostly 18 is the sweet spot for 650whp. The trans is the weakest point. The 4T65-E requires a chain replacement of at least 7/8". GM Racing 1" is preferred but when you find one , expect to pay 1,500. Then the gear sets need to match the chain size. 2.93s stock for the GS but I swapped to 3.29s. Some even run 3.69s
The input shaft - at least 300m I've broken 3 stock ones my 4th is now the 300m

Currently I went from the l67 low compression engine that comes with any regal or gtp that was supercharged to a higher compression l26 that is found in the N/a cars like the Lucerne.
I'm running an intense stage 3 cam (previously s1x cam in old engine)
Stage 3 heads ,130lb valve springs, 60# injectors , 1.6 rockers, doubler roller timing chain, full size intercooler, larger blower with 2.8 pulley , everything switched to 8 rib belts vs 6. Just so many little details I could go on forever (http://tinyurl.com/h6z9gfq) for the build

I'd say it's quick for a 6
