How can I make my bike more powerful?

Has anyone sleeved these blocks? Different pistons for a higher static CR?

Forced induction?

I'm looking to get a little more high end power out of my bike before I give up on it.

Thanks!

JE and Wiseco both make different variations of compression for the Ninja 250R pistons, a few people around the forums have run them.

As far as more in depth modifications such as your forced induction, I can't help, but @Racer x might be able to. He's done a lot more than most in his conquest for speed.

Very interesting. So people are boring up to 6mm oversized without problems, running as high as 13.5:1 CR.

Does anyone know the rod length in these 250r's? R/S ratio?

I'm curious what people are running the bikes on w/13.5 CR. 110octane? Higher?

I'll have a look into this a little later. Honestly I cannot see myself getting this deep with a carbureted bike, but it's interesting to see what kind of power people are making at the extreme end of the spectrum.

It doesn't seem like there's much of an aftermarket for these machines -- as most would simply opt for more displacement instead of getting their hands dirty.

Aftermarket cams, valves.. I'm assuming that people don't want to get that far into the machine which makes sense.

I'll revisit this thread when I have more time.

ill help you out, get a different bike. Its just easier that way, the only reason to mod the 250 to high hell and back is if you are trying to meet certain class/cc restrictions for some type of racing otherwise just buy a different bike. Sure it is fun to see how much you can get out of it but unless you have lots of spare cash, time, patients and don't feel like riding the bike anytime soon check out the N/A build thread. 2 guys there doing most of the mods you can think of and then some. took them awhile to get the bikes running with loads of problems, haven't seen them post much lately.
Get a 300 it already has at least 5 ponies on the 250 with potential for more with simple exhaust modes and better fuel mapping.

nice used 600's for sale in the 5k-6k range.

nice used 250, $2500, $500 for full exhaust, $300 for brt-tis, $400 for a pair of pistons, $100 for odds and ends, (jetting ext...) almost $4k total already and you are still only in the low 30's for hp range if you are lucky and you still have cheap brakes, suspension, lines, controls ect...

ergo concordantly vis a vis get a different bike.
