Is RK Racing a reputable brand?
Looks like I can't make it to 20k. I adjusted my chain tension exactly a month ago. Today (and 2,000 miles later), during my pre-ride check, the tension was over 2 inches (hitting the swingarm). I had to adjust it again. Torqued the axle nut to 72lbs/ft. But my tight spot vs loose spot on the chain is close to 1" difference. Some portion of the chain almost hits the swingarm. Other portions of it barely moves.
Anyway, it's time for a new chain. RK Racing a good brand? Is there any reason why I shouldn't get this chain? http://smile.amazon.com/RK-Racing-Ch...ords=520+chain Additionally, my rear sprocket still looks pretty good to me. Can you guys confirm? I'm not going to replace it.

That sprocket is new.
How the small one looks? That difference in slack is crazy. Could it be that it happens for each full turn of the tire? In that case, the sprocket may not be rotating in a concentric way for some reason.

Front cog looks pretty good as well the last time I checked 2 months ago when I took off that little cover to degrease that whole area. I also thought the sprocket wasn't centered, but it doesn't seem to be the case. The tight and loose spots are at the same place. Not dependent on tire/wheel rotation position.
I just ordered the chain. I'll see how it is after installing it. If I still have the massive tight/loose spots, I'll change the rear sprocket and front cog.

As good as DID. Another good chain is Tsubaki.

I've been personally advised against buying from RK racing (after purchasing that specific one and installing it). Since last year, no issues. It's doing its job. Would recommend.

Cool. Who advised you not to purchase RK Racing chains? If this new chain can last as long as the OEM chain, I'll be a happy camper.
If I read the warranty correctly, it says 20,000 mile warranty. Not sure how you go about filing a claim if the chain stretches like crazy. That's probably just normal wear and tear, not a manufacturer's defect.

I have a chain from RK on a Pregen, 8K on it, I clean and lube it every 2-4 hundred miles. Still good, no slack on the sprockets
