Cool!

Jeff, apparently I don't have a wrench big enough to loosen the rear axle nut. Going go have to get one today and try it again.

Happy Monday (always stated sarcastically...unless it's a Monday off work. lol)

Thanks Ally, I really wanted to make it but the nail had other plans. The tire only has 2k miles on it too, wish it would have happened when it was almost out. The weather was perfect though and it looked like you guys had a really nice ride out.

Thanks Jeff! Good thing there was somewhere right off the highway that had a plug kit, I looked on the maps when I got home and I was a long way from Athens. Thanks for offering to come back out there to assist.

Coleman that new bike looks awesome.

Moutain trip?

As the weather starts warming up, are any of you interested in a weekend trip up to the NC/TN mountains one weekend in March or April? I'm thinking one night spent at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge (http://www.ironhorsenc.com/) nestled between the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway, and one night in Asheville, NC, taking the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Any interest?

I was planning to ride her out to the NE Motorsports shop in Houschton tomorrow for them to look at my chain. The bike only has 1600 miles on it, but the chain slack varies in different spots in its rotation. It seems to vary from 3/4 inch all the way to 1 and 1/4 inch. I tightened it a few days ago, but I can't help wondering if the wheels are misaligned or something to account for such variation in chain slack. I wish I was better at working on my girl.

On that note, I think we should have do a tech day, BBQ and a short ride.

I have been planning a ride to Key West for a while. My plan uses interstates as little as possible but of course that makes for a longer trip. My plans are as follows (I have a very detailed route but here is an overview):

DAY1: Atlanta to Tampa / 525 miles / 9 hours of riding (no interstates)
DAY2: Tampa to Key West / 440 miles / 8 hours of riding (no interstates)
DAY3: NO RIDING - JUST ENJOY KEY WEST
DAY4: Key West to Ormond Beach, FL / 450 miles / 8 hours of riding (some interstates)
DAY5: Ormond Beach, FL to Atlanta, GA / 440 miles / 8 hours of riding (little interstate)

???QUESTION IS WHEN????

***PICS ARE FOR INCENTIVE PURPOSES HAHAHAHA!***
Hey all. Can we start looking at dates for our trip? Is there a way we could have a tech day the last or next to last weekend in May as Jeff proposed to get our bikes in shape for a long ride?
Trip proposal dates: June 2-6 or June 9-13? Someone chime in if one of these weeks will not work for you.

We need a roll call. Who all is contemplating coming along?

Anyone interested in going to the Yamaha demo day. I am going to try that new FZ09 so I can hear that sweet triple sound. I'm going on Saturday.

You all have been WAY too quiet lately for us to be thinking about:
A) a tech day at Jeff's
B) a trip to the Dragon
and/or
C) A KEY WEST TRIP IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS!

Im free tomorrow and would love to join you guys.

OT: Since you guys are local, do you know any places to purchase a right fairing. A girl dropped my bike in a parking lot Tuesday (and she is not even my girlfriend so you know how that went over ). Most of the plastics I see online come with an $100+ shipping charge.

I'm out for tomorrow too. I have an interview right in the middle of the day.

@trenchkato Check out Burnt Rubber. They're located in Marietta, near the big chicken. They have all types of parts for bikes. I checked their online inventory and no joy, bummer. Call and keep checking as they get new parts as bikes come to them. Also, check oemninjaparts.com and of course our very own marketplace or post in the items wanted section. I've found our ninjetters to be very fair with pricing and helpfulness.

How about some pics?

Thanks, I was able to go ahead and order from oemninjaparts. The lady was "nice" enough to put it on her credit card. And sure I have some pics but its nothing too terrible. I have definitely seen worse but I am just anal retentive when it comes to my bike. guess there's no more procrastinating about opening it up and shimming the needles.

Anywho. I cant wait to get out on a ride with you guys!
