Never said they were not welcome I get a kick out of what you write Nick..unfortunately one of the members apparently took it the wrong way...

I knew you were joking and I was playing along with your joke, because of what the previous poster (no names not good got it) said about it being amusing but not what the original topic was asking. God I hate how something written is taken the wrong way.

Okay just for you @nickjpass... I MAY have had the bike drop once... Maybe twice... First time I had just pulled the bike out of the garage, put the kickstand out and got off to close the garage door. Right after I had shut the garage door, I heard a crash behind me... My baby was on the cement with a shattered seat cowl! I have no idea how this one happened since I wasn't looking at the time but I was LIVID!! Escaped harm with only very very very small scrapes on the left fairing, took me a couple of days to even notice them. Second time I was doing the 7,500 service and I forgot to put the kickstand down lol... Zero damage this time as all the fairings were off, just landed on the bar end slider.

Hell, speaking in person can be taken the wrong way too.

Poor Word choice: "Hey look, Dick has crabs!" might not be the right phrase for identifying that your friend Richard just showed up with crustaceans for dinner.

Poor Emphasis: "SHE talked to me." might sound like OMGOMGOMGOMG I talked to that girl I like, whereas "She TALKED to me" might be disgust.

Poor Context: "Help! I'm being gouged by my operator!" might come across like you actually managed to convince that 900 number lady that she should come over, and she's pissed that you're not paying her more. Not everyone is going to assume Comcast is charging you too much.

Poor Word order: "Don't Please Stop" is very different from "Please Don't Stop"

Moral: Keep an open mind in all situations, forum or otherwise, and ask for clarification if you need to.

Really??? A lesson? Jesus Christ I thought people were a little more understanding around here. Listen dude, already spoke to the person that could have been offended..all good, no more English lessons needed, as I know perfectly fine how to speak, and how to word things, unfortunately some people still take things the wrong way, as I said before no harm no foul. But thank you very much for your time that must have taken to think all that trough before you wrote it. (that was sarcasm by the way. LOL)

I'll rattle off my crashes (In order as best as I can)

1. Side swiped by an SUV when splitting lanes
2. Low sided on GMR
3. laid the 250 down on top of my leg because I hit oil coming out of a parking lot
4. Rear ended a truck on my buddies zx6r
5. 0mph noob drop on my zx6r
6. Botched a wheelie and pretty much looped the zx6r

I guess that means 6 of my 9 lives are gone

I don't get it. Why does kevin post on my stuff if he's ignoring me

I got rid of the mower, and upgraded to a 342cc, 26.4 horsepower, Briggs and Stratton snow blower. I'm thinking about an EFI conversion kit.

This is exactly why I won't buy myself a 600 any time soon. I would be dead within a month of owning it. (Well that, and I can't afford one). I would use up the rest of my lives quickly. I am currently down to 7. I better use them wisely. Haha

Ill fess up.

The triumph is a tool of the devil. I do wheelies all the time. Fast ones, slow ones, clutch ups, and my favorite, straight power ups in 2nd gear. I just cant stop.
All that torque makes it too easy. I owned the bike for 3 months and needed my fork seals changed... I've got a problem!

Man working there sucks balls, when a store has over 90 employees and a huge labour surplus, it just shows how much they care.

Honestly the only reason I liked working there was the friends I had there.

that labour **** is one out of many reasons it sucks.

2. your getting 9$ and hour, and you get a ****** promotion after 2 years and a 25 cent raise, woooo now i can afford fuel injector cleaner for my bike

It has nothing to do with whether you have a 600 or a 250, what depends is obviously the rider had no experience

Internet **** talking begin!

Sure it has to do with the rider, 90% of crashes are the riders fault. Crashes happen when you push yourself beyond the capabilities of yourself or your bike, some like to push it harder then others

He's in high school, and minimum wage in is $7.25/hour here. I dunno about Canada. High School students will do work for less because let's face it, college kids NEED the money for books.

Damn I'm definitely jealous. I mean, I DD my 74 CB550 and it's great riding a piece of history, but there's just something lacking. I'd love to have a go on an old two-smoker. 95 all day? Lucky you, I can maybe get 95 downhill full tuck (that doesn't mean much seeing as how it has nothing to hide behind) on the 550, lol.

And to stay on topic:

I almost dropped my bike today into some pedestrians. I was downtown with my friend, and we turned out of a parking lot. He didn't realize the light had been red for a few seconds, and flew right through it. I was about to follow him, but I realized it was red, so I slammed on my brakes. For some reason I was in the center of the lane, and it was really oily. I lost the rear wheel and started going sideways.. Towards the pedestrians that were in the crosswalk. Thankfully the rear didn't regain traction, and I was able to drift it to a stop without hitting anyone (or anything).

My own mistakes

Shortly after I got my bike a little over a year ago and was riding from North Ga to South Ga to work and then back home again, I thought I would push another hour before I took a break on the 300+ mile trip home, when I got to Commerce Ga and decided to stretch my legs, they had been in position for so long that when I stopped my legs gave and completely fell over with the bike, if a cop would have seen they would have given me a dui test.

Another time I was traveling to work in South Ga during the night and got into the town where our EMS station was at around 2am in the morning, I was feeling froggy and foolishly decided to jump the RR tracks, I did and no problem from it, but when I turned into the driveway of the station, (still in 2nd gear) I found out really quick the south Ga sand will stop tires and hold them while you go flying over the handlebars, no one seen me but I am sure it looked very comical.

And lastly for now, I left out from work one morning heading home and had forgot about the thin layer of frost on the pavement that accumilated from the dew in the wee hours of the morning and went to make a sharp left hand turn and radical lean, only to quickly realize the bike and me were going in different directions, it going down the street on its side and me going up the street on my side, after I stood up a police officer was standing next to me and asked if I needed a ambulance, I said naw , I would prefer my co workers that I just left not to know about this, so I think I will just walk it off.

So yes , I do feel humble now, until I think of any more mishaps.

Those are good, Kevin.

Many years ago I had a 50 cc moped.
Once, I gave a classmate a ride to school.
Tired of waiting in a long line at a traffic light, I wisely decided to go to the front of that line riding between the right curb and the line of cars (not too fast but not too slow).

One of the passenger decided to get off of one of the cars and, at a perfect timing, she slammed the right back door full open.
Somehow, the front tire missed her leg, and my friend and I ended up all over her on the back seat of that car.

I'll add another to the pot.

Me and my bud are booking down a 2 lane. We end up behind a truck and there are no passing lanes in sight, and in CA it's illegal to pass on a double yellow. I motion for my bud to close up cause I'm tired of waiting for this guy, especially since he seems to be slowing down. I drop the hammer and am about to whip into the opposing lane to pass when the guy throws his hand out the window in a "slow down" motion. That's when I see his left blinker on and a driveway coming up. Dude was pulling into the forest service sub-station. The same folks who often assist in rescuing injured bikers in that area. If he hadn't been paying (more) attention (than me), me and my bud would have caromed off the side of his truck like pinballs when he made that turn, so I guess they're not ALL out to get us.

I don't like humiliating myself, but this was funny... When I had my NT-650 and I was really a new rider I was riding around town in upstate NY looking for a pizza place that I knew about but wasn't exactly sure where it was. I found it but rode by it twice because I was going too fast. Third time was a charm and I zipped into the parking lot. Unfortunately I was still going too fast and the pavement was damp. I skid to the end of the lot, hit a railroad tie and both me and the bike flew over it. Luckily (I guess) there was a muddy field on the other side. I was fine, the bike was fine, nobody seemed to notice. I brushed myself off the best I could, got my bike back up and parked and went in to get that precious pizza. I sat down, the waitress came up to me (snapping her gum) and said "So, you had a little trouble with your bike out there, huh?" It turned out that she was a Harley girl and rode some big heavy cruiser.

I'm guessing you *did not* get her number.
