FS - '10 Kawasaki Ninja 250R SE - < 300 Miles - Tons of Mods - $4200 OBO - CA

2010 Special Edition Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Less Than 300 Miles
Over $1500 in Mods
$4200 OBO

So I hate to do this, but I've come to realize that I have to sell my Ninja. I initially bought it to ride along with my husband (He has a 09 GSXR 750) but with two kids, and now a third (Just had a baby in Sept), I just don't have the time to go out and ride it, let alone along with my husband. Also, I just don't feel like I want to risk possibly getting hurt on the motorcycle now that I have a newborn baby boy.

After getting the bike, I enjoyed modding it almost as much as I did riding it, so with this bike you are getting lots of extras. Over $1500 in mods. I don't want to part anything at this point, so please don't ask. If I find the bike is hard to sell at this price, then I'll possibly consider parting it out. But to be honest, whoever buys it has a huge opportunity to make a lot of their money back if they choose to part it out themselves. I personally do not have the time to do it. Any stock parts that I still have will also go to however buys it. (For sure, I don't have the stock levers - I gave them to a friend) This bike has never been dropped. It was tipped over once (happened before I lowered it), but there are no signs of damage. It is truly in immaculate condition, is one of a kind, and has always had a bike cover over it. So here's the list of mods that you'll get owning this bike along with the prices I paid for some of them.

Performance Mods:

- Carbs Shimmed (3 washers each)
- Kleen Air System Removed
- Snorkel Removed
- Two Brothers Black Series Carbon Fiber Slip-on Exhaust w/ Red Bolts & Silencer ($444)

Visual Mods:
- Projekt D Fender Eliminator ($90)
- Black Rear Spools
- Diode Mod/LED Relay
- Proton Flushmount Front LED Turn Signals ($80)
- LED Dash Lights
- DDM Tuning HIDs (High & Low Beam Installed) ($50)
- Color-Matching Fairing Bolts
- Keiti Tribal Tank Pad ($17)
- Roaring Toys Lowering Kit (Front Risers, Lowering Links, Blk/Red Kickstand) ($190)
- Shogun Frame Sliders ($100)
- Shinto Gloss Black Rear Fender ($350+)
- Gloss Black OEM Solo Cowl w/ OEM Leather covering Rubber Pad ($100)
- OEM Rear Seat
- Clear DMP Integrated LED Tail Light ($80)
- Red Oil Cap
- Ninjette.org & 250R decals
- Red/Black Adjustable Ebay Levers ($80)
- Black Hotbodies GP Windscreen Dual Radius ($75)
- Red Passenger Foot Levers
- Red Tire Valve Caps
- Red/black D3 Grips (Never Got a Chance to Install) ($42)

Also here's a thread that documents the progression of the modding of this bike.

Every good camera costs as much as a bike, or at least half of one.

Natalie, sorry to hear that you are giving up the bike... never got a chance to meet up as the meets were always to far away for you. I've watched you mod this bike via this site though and had always wanted to see it in person. GL on your sale and honestly I don't blame you for selling

Thanks Cazper. I wish we could've met as well. I was never really comfortable with my riding skills to go so far for the meet ups.

for a clean 250. I too followed your bike progress. Great job modding, it's almost as fun as riding. Congrats on the new baby boy and GLWS.

Hope to see you back on the forum again someday.

The hardest thing about selling a fully modded bike is it kinda takes the fun away of modding your bike from the purchaser. Which is why you'd have a better chance of selling the bike if put back to stock...well, at close as you can to stock that is.

Also, you'd make more money parting things.

Either way, best wishes.

Oh, and congrats on the 3rd one.

Yeah, I realize that. I just don't have the time to take it apart and part it right now. Then I have to deal with packing and shipping things out, things like that. I would just prefer to sell the whole thing at once, at this point. I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, so if I can't sell it as a whole, then I'll consider parting it later on down the road.

We are having a tech day on Jan. 14th & 15th if you are interested in us helping you put it back to stock so you can possibly make the sale easier. You'll make money both on the bike and in selling off the aftermarket parts... just throwing it out there

GLWS!!

Bump!!! Anyone looking for a new bike. Price is negotiable, but no low ball offers. I tried lowering the price on my first post, but it doesn't give me the option to edit it anymore. Looking to get $4200.

Uhh... her sig calls it a hugger and a search in page only showed her sig. That was AFTER scanning the list for "hugger" visually. FWIW, I think of the mud flap "rear fender" or the front tire fairing when anyone says "fender," but I guess it's every bit as appropriate as calling the one on the front tire a "fender."

OP: Good luck with sale.

That's not why people don't like to buy modded bikes. It's usually because the bikes are thrashed and that's why parts are replaced. Normally, people start modding after they actually ride the bike and know what needs to be changed and why. But this one was essentially never ridden, so I'd expect it to go pretty quickly on craigslist. If she spent as much time on the bike as she did changing out every part imaginable, she might know how to ride it and not be so quick to sell it.

I'm selling this bike simply because my priorities have changed. It is not my skills that I question but rather those careless drivers that simply have no regards towards motorcyclists. It is not worth it to me to put my life at risk when I have a baby to care for. Although I want to sell this bike, I am not desperate to get rid of it which is why I have not listed it on Craigslist. I do not wish to deal with all of the BS that comes with a craigslist listing. Plus, I would prefer to have a fellow Ninjette members purchase it.

I stand corrected. My apologies Cynical.

While I stand by my assertion she made the right choice. I am guilty of not reading the entire post/thread.

Sorry dude, I jumped the gun.

Moved to SD...

I wish I was still living in that San Gabriel/San Bernandino County...

Good luck with the sale! I'll PM you if I ever move back and this bike is still for sale. Haha.

You can always return the bike to stock height if it is too low for you. It takes less than an hour. Here is the link to the roaring toyz website if you are curious. http://www.roaringtoyz.com/parts_lowering-links.html

Yeah I guess I've been guilty of that a couple times myself. So... don't apologize to me. I should lighten up that reply a little.
