sparks sometimes and has weak spark (solved)

so i fixed the issue regarding it not having any spark at all, replaced the pulsar coil but now its pointed out another issue both plugs and ignition coils will spark but only sometimes and it appears to be pretty weak, does this point towards faulty ignition coils or something else i should be looking for?

editproblem solved by replacing the ignition coils)

What is the battery voltage while you're cranking? My guess is it's dropping a lot under load.

i charged it up to about 12.3 volts but wouldn t be suprised if it was dropping after some cranks its a fairly new battery

I'm asking what the battery voltage is during cranking. That can tell us if your weak spark is due to low voltage.

i can absolutely check that I haven't actually tried that yet, I took off the ignition coils and found that the "intermittent" ness possibly could be because the contacts in the wire is pretty messed up and would only read with a multimeter in certain positions and on top of that the resistance of the primary windings was way off, ordered 2 oem replacements off ebay, ill check the voltage while cranking today though

it drops to around 11v

resistance on primary windings of ignition coils is 5.5 ohms

as far as I got in the manual I was sent on this forum my primaries read 5.5 as in the two standoff posts being connected by a multimeter not to the actual spark cable

Sorry, I had a brain fart! You're right. I'll fix the post for future searchers. I had tube amplifier output transformers on my mind.

I was the one who posted the manual supplement for you.

your all good lol I was super confused, it was out of wack as far as the manual readings so I have two oem ones getting here Tuesday but have just continued testing and working on this big puzzle regardless

I wonder if they were stock coils that gave you trouble. I don't hear about coil failures here.

so the actual coils themselves looked identical same branding and all HOWEVER the actual spark plug wire looked like a replacement, even the rubber gasket piece that covers up the head didn't really fit or cover right and could be popped off of the wire very easily, so my guess is probably stock coil, ghetto repair job on the actual wires
