Drag times has posted a guy for his first time at the drag strip with an 08 250 ninja with only mod was a slip on. He ran 16.1 at 81mph. I think thats fantastic!!!! Depending on what his reaction times are. With practice you can normally cut a few seconds off that. Given the fact the bikes dyno around 27 hp with 14 lbs of torque. Thats fantastic!!! Its all about FUN!!

After afew passes, I really think i can get down to 15.50 - 15.90 @ 85-88MPH in the quater mile on my stock 2009 250! But well see how it goes,

Only "mechanical mod" ive done is add in a K&N air filter.

Off the line is where you win/lose!

Trick is too have high enuff RPMs letting the clutch out, without spinning the rear tire and or popping a slight wheelie!

Laugh if you will, but i cant wait!!!

Headed out 1 week late for my summer trip. Not going south though, changing the route to something less ambitious. My dad got his trike back from the shop, so we're getting things ready to go. Headed west and taking the ferry across lake michigan like I talked about, and then puttz around the chicago area for a day or 2, then ride up to the U.P. and back down Mackinac, Should be fun.

The other week when i posted that bob and i "were talking and trying to plan out a ubly drag day", i looked over the website and saw that the 24th ISNT a TNT $20 day!

This was after the fact, when i posted about my ideal day to race at ubly was july 24th.
Bob pointed out next TNT is on july 31th, which i Cannot attend, due to a friends wedding!
So i was wrong about the 24th being a TNT day, sorry!

Well I don't have woodcraft clipons or anything....maybe its my height and less weight down on my arms...heh, not that I need to ride the ninja for popeye forearms...

The seat was the worst part...Its still far better than stock....and totally worth the money...by the end I took breaks about every hour.

Irish Hills tomorrow? Who's in?

It's about time to do this ride. Been talking about it long enuf. Let's Go!!! Weather looks perfect for tomorrow. This would be an all day ride. Putting some miles on the bikes!

I have a route planned to the Artesian Well in Cement City. It's a sports bar, biker hangout, located next to a HD dealership Note: The food is decent.

Also, it is the last Sunday of the month, which means it's Boogie Woogie BBQ time! This is in Pinckney from 4 - 7 PM. My buddy Beemo started this to get some bikers together and give his friend Chef Chris some extra business. I am planning on going, probably around 5-ish. Went there last month... Great BBQ ribs n chicken, and friendly service! Prices are reasonable too It's a loosely organized event. People come in, eat and go.

Darkstar, Rage42, Heather & Nick, Brently7785 have all given me a PM with "interest", but havent confirmed that they Will, without a doubt, be joining us!


So, heres the general layout and plan. We will imprivise anything else on the go, in between!



Carol and I will be meeting...

at the NATIONAL CONEY ISLAND at 1812 N. Main st., Royal Oak @ 9AM!
(12 mile & main st. NE corner)

From there we will follow her route or just the general one i linked from mapquest!!!

We will ride out to roughly Brooklyn, Mi. / Cement City.
Hang out around town for an hour or so, then ride and sight-see some more.

Carol has some riders out in Pinckney, Mi. like she mentions *ABOVE POST*

Im very interested.

So once we're done with Irish Hills area, we will head to Pinckney as a group, or if you others want to leave for home thats fine, but Carol + Dawn and I will be going to Pinckney!

After Pinckney, im sure well find some cool roads to cruise around on a little bit, before heading home!!!

Hey, Dave.

Good to go @ Nat'l Coney 12 Mile in RO tomorrow morning around 9AM.

This is what I have worked out so far...
(Note: I try to avoid as much hwy riding as possible. If you have another preferred route, I am more than 100% happy to follow!!!!)

And remember that I will have a gps, but with no mount on the Ninja, I may have to stop on occasion to check out proximity
My route is as such: 696 - 275 S, 275 S - 14 W, 14 W to Beck Rd S, Beck Rd to Michigan ave/US12 west. This will take us thru Ypsi on the BR and on to the Artesian Well @ US 127 and US 12. Some stops are nice along the way as there are some small lakes and scenic points to enjoy.

My route from there to the Boogie Woogie BBQ is US12 E to 52 N, to N. Territorial E, to Mast Rd N, to Strawberry Lk Rd E, to Merrill Rd. N, to M36 W. Chef Chris' Boogie Woogie is at 5589 E. M-36 in Pinckney.
