I just googled "swirl vinyl" because I'm into those designs and looked for whatever looked best. Found one on Amazon and was actually for the walls but found it fitting for my bike. It actually came on a different design set so I had to cut it up and peice it back together for a nice design. You sort of just have to have the "eye" for it, I've always been the crafty/artsy type. I didn't plan much I just looked at the decals and by eye decided which pieces would go where and cut them accordingly. Sticking it on wasn't too bad it took awhile aligning everything perfectly but it wasn't impossible. Since the lines were so thin it was a little complicated but do-able.

Nice job, it looks great. You really made the bike your own.

Looks great. Have you seen any signs of wear? Also, did you at any point peel away the Plasti Dip after being painted? If so how'd that go? I ask because I'd be interested in doing the same thing, but not sure if I'd like it and not sure how well it'd all come off after I paint, clear and let it all set. I've worked with Plasti Dip before on my Honda Ruckus, but never ended up painting over it.

Actually, yes- mostly on the corners or areas that I didn't gloss over well enough. Just make sure you gloss and final coat every inch as well as possible and you should be fine! But it's very minor and everything is holding up just fine as of now

Agreed. Definitely the first thing that I saw and now that's all I see. That line needs to continue.

Thanks! Good thing is it's plasti dip- I can rip it off any time I'd like and have it back to original stock blue

Just personal curiosity... you said that you ended up redoing it a few times. When you remove it, is it like you never put it on in the first place?

(I'm thinking about doing this to my new bike. )

Yes. It's basically just rubberized spray paint, so it peels up whenever you want (doesn't mean it will peel off just due to wind or moisture though).
