What was your best present this year?

I was given an, used Nokia lens. It is awesome because I can use it on my current full frame Nikon D750, as well as my old 35mm bodies (why I asked for it). It is a Nikkor 105mm f/4 macro lens. I love it. I can get about 6" from my subject, it is the first macro lens I have ever owned.

I can't wait to use it in a photo shoot. 😎

Runner up is the aromatherapy machine my wife got me. It works great. 👍

Possibly the new fork tubes I got for my 1972 Kawasaki H2, although my daughter gave me a high quality photo book on the history of electric lamps that's very interesting.

Several:
Heated blanket for cold nights.
Track day tickets
The Kawasaki jacket my boss got me (completely by surprise)
Seeing a few people at church I really missed...

The best was spending extra time with people I love.

You can also reverse mount most any lens to the front of most any lens to make a super macro, they sell adapter rings in some sizes but I just taped the barrels together.

I've seen some setups like that, but I just would rather have the proper glass to do what I need it to. 🙂

I currently don't have a need to get closer than this one gets me.

That's how I got my riding pants. One of my old pairs the Kevlar lining started to deteriorate and leave yellow fuzz in the washer and dryer. I said "looks like I need a new pair of riding pants" wife said "Good, go ahead and order whatever you want, wrap it and put it under the tree cause I haven't bought you anything yet"
