feeling like a major idiot here...

my anchor and chain arrived today. installed the anchor, no problem. however, i was checking out my Krypotonite New York Fahgettaboudit chain and disc lock and now I don't know how to get the lock back together

I put the key in a turned it to get the u part off, now it won't go back in. Am i missing something here?

The key still has to be in and turned to re-shackle it.

I had a similar issue when I first used mine, put the key in the lock and turn it, it's simple once you work it out.

It had me baffled for about 1 beer.

I got it. the discs weren't lining up properly. I had to use graphite lube and a bobby pin to get them to line up and then it worked.

*at least i know now it's just a case of poor quality locking mechanism, not user error. their website has a bunch of questions pertaining to the same issue.
