15t Sprocket Noise
I'm planning on installing a 15t front sprocket, but I've seen some posts saying they get a "clicking" sound due to the teeth not having the chain gripping stuff the stock 14t has. Could ya'll help point me towards a 15t sprocket that wont make that noise, or what you did to eliminate the noise?
I read somewhere that some one used a 15t sprocket from a Z1000 and didn't have the noise, don't know if anyone can confirm that.

I have a larger front sprocket and don't have any sounds coming from it? Mine is just a basic one from cycle gear.

I've been told that a big factor is the lack of rubber damper like the stock sprocket has. That being sad, I have the JT 15t and it is much noisier than the stock one used to be. I later purchased the Motion Pro chain alignment tool (http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0048/) and discovered my chain was definitely out of line however only slightly. Alignment good now and it still makes some noise, though not nearly as much.
Edit: Background info -- JT 15tf / 44tr D.I.D. 520 x-ring chain Replaced everything at same time Shimmed cush drive as well |

You mean like you have a 16t front sprocket? I thought those wouldn't fit.

take a little of the sprocket cover. Also I have had a 15 same cheap one from cycle gear and it was fine.
