15t Sprocket Brands

As I was looking for a 15t sprocket i read alot of posts about the JT and some people needing to shim some don't and JT not having a specific one for our bikes... I actually found a 15t that Driven makes specifically for our bikes. The only thing is the Driven was $28 and JT was like $16. I went ahead and ordered the Driven and have 0 issues! Just wanted to throw another Sprocket brand into the mix

Vortex works without the shim as well, plus is lighter then the stock sprocket. Light enough, I am looking at ordering one in 14T to replace the stocker since I couldn't stand the lugging in the upper RPMS at 15/42.

JT was the first to have one specific to our bikes. The problem is that most parts suppliers list the old part for the new gen. If you didn't know about the difference and got the old part you'd have thrown it on and similarly be reporting "no problems."

He is right. I bought a JT 15T sprocket and I did not have to shim it. I have the receipt, here it is.. Part number JTF 516-15.. Cost me $16.95 directly from my local Kawi dealer. I put some leftover moly lube on the teeth (recommended in the manual) from an old ARP head stud project, and had no issues at all. You do lose some torque in the process though, but well worth it if you aren't at the track.

And yours is the old part that people sometimes shim to match JTF 1539.15 (the new part). It's all a matter of being OCD enough to care.
