Riding with allergies?

Runny nose, itchy watery eyes, and all other annoyances that come with allergies... For those of you that have terrible allergies, how do you ride knowing it's hell outside?

I typically take claratin before I head out and it does the trick but I know for a fact that on some super polinated days, it kicks up and I feel pretty crappy even with medication. At home, I use an air purifier/filter and that makes indoors absolutely divine but that's not exactly possible while riding.

Ideas? Tips?

I can't really explain it, but I have terrible allergies and they never bother me while riding. I've had times where my whole face was itchy and my eyes watery, nose running, couldn't stop sneezing, and as soon as I start riding I feel great :-) With that said, as soon as I stop its a living hell, I've found those little red sudafed tablets work the best with some 180mg Allegra.

Allergic reactions to dust and pollen can also be greatly reduced with a simple dust mask. I use one most of the time during pollen season when cutting grass. Works pretty good for the most part, as long as there is a good seal.
