My phone makes a pretty decent camera at times. Just had to time the shots in between traffic. Luckily my dad was driving so I was free to wait.

We had a rain storm last night that scrubbed the sky so today has been breathtaking. Though now its slowly surrounding us and the storm is moving in.

hmm, there are tons of good southern colleges when I think about it. Reminding me that it's almost a shame that I stayed local, though by taking classes locally I am spending less in all 5 years than I would be in 1 year at VT, don't even need loans so long as I work enough shifts

obviously check out VT and costal carolina as those are my favorite schools to visit, UMD is nice but it doesn't have the reputation of vt or the beaches of costal carolina.

That's cool. I wish I got into that before I bought my sportbike, but I live in the city and my mom is not the kind to give me the go on doing stuff like that.

Too young for boozing is too young for booty lol jkjk. We have a wonderful term for these women. It's called a But-Her-Face (or butter face). Thats where everything is great... wait for it... but her face. Simple solution. Hit it from the back

Nice pics everyone..

...on the contrary. What's with it with this damn snow not melting? It was seriously 70 degrees and the river is still frozen and the snow hasn't melted? I might be buying into the "Government made snow" idea since this stuff is taking abnormally long to melt ffs!

I mean I could go into a whole Heat Transfer lesson with you about the atmostpheric temp and the temp of the snow and newtons law of cooling, but I'd rather not.

Let's suffice it to say: I'm positive I could dispel your goverment snow silliness with some science.

I bet you could and I was luckily being sarcastic but doesn't the snow have to be at a specific temperature to be.... snow?

Sort of. It can be colder than 32 degrees F though. Don't forget about the energy required to change phase in addition to the energy required to change the temperature of the snow. That's part of why snow is so slow to melt. Additionally, the air temp (or water temp in the case of your river) is not much warmer than that of the temp of the snow at the surface of the snow, making convective transfer very small.

That makes some sense. So if it was 70 degrees continuously it would eventually transfer to the ice and snow and force it to melt.. It's just annoying how it takes so long.

If you focus on the horizon line (center of your photo) you'll get a better focused pic. If you focus on you're bike the rest of the scene might have looked darker/ unfocused because of where the bike was. And if you focused on the sky it maybe would have brightened up and left the rest of the pic looking dark.

Yup, its been nice to me so far. Lately we've had some windy days today the worst with some rain. The temperature is also fluctuationg from mid 70's to mid 60's every other day. One day hot, soon enough cold.

But all rideable weather!
