Well Guy Martin got 4th in the Superbike TT. Was hoping he could get his first win. Oh well. Honda's took the top three. I think Guy needs to lose the squid bike and find his way back to a Honda.

I hope Guy can get 1st in the Superstock TT. He was first in qualifying so hopefully he can keep it up in tomorrows race.

Expat shield (the first link) should allow you access it, think it's default setting gives you a UK ip address.

No not on a motorcycle. I rode in a bus with Milky Quaill. He gives a step by step account of the track. I did it twice.

I've been recording the coverage on velocity. First superbike race was a good one.

It amazes me how they can get air, mid turn, and land then drive thru the turn like nothing happened. Crazy

It amazes me that I can't understand what they are saying. Don't they speak English there? It sounds like whiteman ebonics.

sliiightly OT but..How much do you guys enjoy being at a race (any race) in person..? Specially these bigger ones. I used to go to formula 1 races as a kid, mainly because i had to...but i didnt find it enjoyable at all. You spend all that time/money just to watch the cars go by you and you only get to see them what...20seconds max per lap?

Id like to go to the TT just to experience it and see if id like it, but i cant imagine being one of those ppl on the sidelines waiting all that time just to get a small glimpse of the riders flying by at 100+..

Think id prefer watching on a nice, big screen tv with a proper sound system.

I get what you are saying, but I have still had a blast at any race I have been to. My parents used to rent a RV and we would go to the CART races every year at Mid-Ohio. It was always a blast. Hell, I even had a great time at the Brickyard 400 I went to a few years back.

There's just something about being around a race. Getting to walk around the track and the pits. Hearing the roar of the engines up close, and the smell of the gasoline. Plus the fact that everyone is there to party and watch some great racing. It's always a fun time imo.

I'm definitely gonna go to see the TT some time.

Being at a race is fantastic. Nowadays, they have huge TV screens so you can watch the race as you are there. The whole atmosphere is exciting. It's even better if you are in the race.

Got home from work this morning and watched the last episode I recorded. At the end they showed some coverage of the zero race. I was shocked to see that the third place bike was designed and built by students at OSU, lucky bastards... Man, I wish I was better at math.

I saw that as well. I bet @choneofakind wishes he went to OSU, eh? Pretty cool that they got third considering they were competing with teams that have millions of dollars.

Yeah I know, they finished right behind team Mugen. That's gotta be some of Honda's best engineers, and they almost got beat by some college kids.

Definitely not. Not an OSU fan. idk why, I just am not a fan.

My school does SAE Baja, ASME Human Powered Vehicle, and ASCE Concrete canoe/steel bridge.

I wish they did SAE Formula Cars, but a bike competition like that would be sick since I'm the only one on campus I've heard of who's even thrown a leg over a bike on a track.
