Shinto USA order for September

You're doing Paul a great service by handling all of his US sales. The nerve of him to completely ignore you and not respond to your emails.

so i finally got a response from paul. he said he's been waiting on me to get him the money, not sure what that has to do with not communicating with me for a week when i've been pleading with him to ship everything that has already been paid for. at any rate, he won't ship until i send him money - which i don't have at the moment (although i should be receiving funds today or tomorrow). you're all probably thinking, paul has the money for my order, what gives? he is insisting i send him shipping funds as well - even for the old items that should have been included in previous shipments. even though i disagree with this, i am more than happy to accept this stipulation in order to get you guys your stuff. like i said before - CUSTOMERS ARE MY PRIORITY. the problem is the money for shipping comes from profits on recent orders, where as the profits from previous orders were used to ship customers their items, and pay for bulk shipping on the second pack that came in last month. why paul chooses to break up items that are ready to go makes little sense to me. you would think it would be better to "use a bigger box" and shell out a little more $$ for shipping rather than make customers wait unnecessarily.

having said all that, i expect to get paul the shipping funds by 12/17 if not sooner.

to be clear, here is what paul has stated is ready to ship:

regarding the large fork caps that many of you are waiting on - they're still not ready for some reason, but according to paul, should be ready with the next shipment, which should go out mid-january.........i hope.

You said he won't ship until you send him the money. What money to be clear. Money fir néw orders of those who have not paid or money you still owe him for something else?
If those orders that you refunded, what if they changed their mind? He still insists on waiting? Makes no sense.

need funds for new orders, as profits are used for shipping purposes (although i shouldn't have to pay for shipping again on old orders due to the fact that those items should have shipped with the last two packs). at any rate, customers who need to re-submit payment have done so. checks are in the mail and tracking info indicates i should have them by thursday at the latest. i will wire funds necessary to get everything from my previous post in the air asap. customers should receive orders around 1/1/2011.

correct, although paul did say he MAY front me inventory on the new 2-piece around early january. if you'd like, i can hold your hugger for a little while to see if he follows through. that way, if i do get inventory, i'll ship you a 2-piece and just resell the original. i'll keep you posted.

Will these huggers he'll be fronting you be painted as well or just primed? As long as you have my original hugger in your possession, I'd be willing to wait and see if he comes through.

some primed, some gloss black, some matte black, some carbon look....

paul has advised he can substitute with the smaller version for those that no longer want to wait. why he has one style and not the other, i don't know.....

remember john, i'm NOT making money on this venture. i did this cause i was tired of people ragging on paul instead of supporting shinto. Why wouldn't we want to support someone who makes stuff just for our bikes, at a great price, that you can't really get anywhere else? that being said, my take on paul is that he is a good guy, and wants to do right by everyone. i really think it boils down to lack of organization on his part due to the fact that he has WAY TO MUCH on his plate. he needs to get a partner/s so he can delegate certain tasks rather than trying to handle everything himself.

he didn't give me tracking info last time (???) - for all i know the pack will be on my door early next week without hearing from Paul at all (fingers crossed). as soon as i have more info i will update everyone accordingly.

Lastest update (2 days ago) is that 1) package has not shipped yet and 2) Paul is still waiting on Vince for shipping money (although Vince said he already sent the money last week). So whatever that means...In the mean time we will continue the saga of infinite wait.

i really don't understand paul's thought process. apparently he's been communicating with you (john) as recently as 2 days ago. i haven't heard from him in over a week. i wire transferred $480 to paul on 12/17, $150 for shipping and $330 for unpaid items. as far as i'm concerned, this should take care of everything and get the box on the plane. if there is something that paul feels needs to be done on my end he needs to communicate that to me so we can reach some understanding. i have emailed him everyday since last week and received no response.

How long do you keep flogging a dead horse ???. This is the exact reason I said earlier on the year why I wouldn't contemplate being an Ozzie distributor.........Paul making you look bad.

I see nothing has gotten better since then. I would cut my loses to be honest and support Sportisi. I don't think I have ever seen a bad word. I don't know how many chances you guys wanna give Shinto..........but meh it's not my money I guess or reputation.

ok, so after emailing him daily since 12/17 with no response, i finally got an "out of office" reply from paul indicating shinto is "closed" for the holidays and will resume business on 1/3/2011. i hope he treats me as a distributor and not a customer (duh) and responds to my inquiries anyway. as always, thank you all for your patience and understanding. i will provide more info as soon as i have something from paul.

jesus man, at this point i'd satisfy the current orders, and tell paul to get bent. You're the only one that's going to get screwed on this venture. maybe once paul figures out how to get things shipped in a reasonable amount of time, being a distributor might be worthwhile. Shinto has some really cool stuff, but there's no way I'd send money to this guy, not after all the crap I've read.
