Offset keyway ignition advance question
Anyone done the ignition advance offset key way on a 88-07 ninja 250 from Factory Pro? I am reading the instructions and it says the offset needs to be to the right. I believe the motor spins counter clock wise, so wouldn't having the offset to the right of the key way slot be retarding the timing? Any help is appreciated I only have one generator cover gasket and want it on correct the first time.

Of course if you remove the flywheel and look at the keyway, that "to the right" becomes "to the left". |

They follow the standard of turning the same way as the wheels.

So counter clockwise. Wouldn't putting the key way offset to the right moving the flywheel according to the instructions be retarding the timing?

Yes, want key to left to advance timing.
Factory Pro messes up A LOT. Such as sending pre-gen needles with their new-gen jet kits, wrong-sized jets, etc. |
