Oh, haha. If I ever get free time, I can do it. Installation is really easy.

I'm sure is. But for the complete noob (me) I'm sure its intimidating. I'm sure a video would help out the less experienced.

It is really easy.
the diode mod was the only thing I got confused on but it was easy once I realized the pictures make the plugs look way bigger than they actually are...

Received everything last week...Got the lights installed, the back end looks unreal! Just working on a small bracket for the blaster-x switch i'm installing. Should be wrapped up tonight!
Now I just need to finish my other bike projects and get the battery back in! |

Yes, a switch is a switch.
His looks like a momentary push switch, when pushed (and held down) - it's engaged, or on, or whatever he sets it to, which in this case would be grounded. Correct me if i'm wrong about your switch being momentary switch.

That is exactly right, its a momentary switch to ground, so instead of flipping a toggle switch on and off I just have to push the button.

Squalo,
Doesn't it make it a pain in the butt, to turn on the 'strobe mode' of the tail lights? As in, turn on bike, and turn it on (grounded), which leads to strobe mode. NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Demo Mode (via settings) For me, I have a regular switch, so I just flip the switch, and it's on strobe mode. You'd have to be there holding the button down

To be honest, the battery has yet to be hooked up as i am still finishing up some other work on the bike, not to mention it snowed a bit yesterday.
I just read the instructions and thought a momentary switch would make it super easy to program. I dont really see myself using the strobe mode, although i suppose it could be used as a hazard...could always find a way to hold the switch down if needed. |

You are correct in the part that a momentary switch will make configuring the settings EXTREMELY easy haha.
But yeah, strobe mode is where it's at

I just wanted to thank Tri for the GB discount and his excellent service.
My taillight arrived while I was on a three week business trip so I did not get a chance to install it until a couple of weeks ago. It works and looks great. Quick question though, it seems to be working fine with the current blinker relay, so I have not yet installed the new one that I bought with the taillight. I don't think I am risking breaking anything except the old relay. What are the differences between the stock relay and what Tri is selling? FYI, I do not have any other LED lights on the bike. |

If it blinks correctly for you, with just the tail light turn signals as LED, then you are fine without having to replace the relay (or diodes).
If it blinks too fast for you, or you choose to install (in the future) more LED's for the turn signals, you will need to install the NEW relay, and possibly diodes. Aside from that, if it works, it works. Happy riding!

Had my Integrated and blaster x switch installed a while now with no problems, but i've noticed something, when i turn the ignition the relay clicks, sort of like the indicators are going but there not its just the sound. it doesnt do it all the time, i've made sure everything is connected properly when it happened the first time but that didnt do anything, is it something to worry about as its not all the time?
