Custom printed shirts and stuff

I just came across something on STAPLES that I didnt know was still being made:
Epson Iron On Transfers paper for inkjets.....10 sheets for about $19.
I used them many years ago and, carefully done, the imprint lasts thru maybe 5 or 6 gentle hand washings but the first time you wear it...looks amazing.
Reproduces photos perfectly, type and graphics are razor sharp but tends to darken colors just a bit.
While the colors hold up good..the image is transferred on a micro thin sheet of film that does not stretch ( it cracks if stretched too much) so it doesnt work on areas of a garment that are stretched. But...on the chest, breast, back they work real good and are absolutely perfect for limited wear use. Unless the whole 8 1/2 x 11 rectangle needs to be used, you can hand trim the image to it's edges and....for 1 or 2 times, it's as sharp as any silk screened or digital imprint. Whether you want to make a single piece for yourself or maybe an "event" piece for a group run this is the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to do it. It works with any inkjet....never tried it with a laser.

What a great Christmas present. A t-shirt with a disappearing message (unless you never wear it). I love the idea.

Why not just visit a local shirt shop and have really shirts made up in multiple colors on front and back for <$13 per shirt that will hold up to as many washings/wearings as you could ever want? Plus you'll support your local businesses.

I could think up some shirt ideas I wouldn't care to wear more than a few times... Who am I kidding, we learned screen printing in middle school, surely I haven't forgot that much stuff since then
