Definitely a recumbent sportbike even if it's not a recumbent racer/trackbike.

Everyone knows Kaneda and his bike are designed by Katsuhiro Otomo. It was only the biggest Japanese animated feature in the English world before Pokemon.

Lol, I almost bought that jacket on the grounds of "it's more visible!" Alas, it's sized way too big for me, and costs quite a pretty penny.

Akira was so popular (Manga and movie) that there have been many functional replicas of Kaneda's bike practically all along. Nothing new, but always cool.
