----------------- Silverstone welcomed MotoGP back with cool and overcast conditions, but it was not dark enough to cause concern and the premier class got refamiliarised with the circuit during FP1. After Fabio Quartararo started the session at the top, Marc Marquez looked increasingly comfortable as he took over with the only 2:00 time of the session, although his session ended with a big tumble into turn 2 that caused a red flag for the final couple of minutes. The Spaniard gingerly walked away, leaving a fairly battered Honda in the middle of the track but kept prime spot to the checkered flag.
