anyone watch moto3 gp?

it's my fav class to watch. This week had an awesome battle between Sandro Cortese and Maverick Viñales! it sucks Fenati went down or something and didn't finish the race!

I don't think there are any kawasaki's in this division :[ anyone know how much HP these 250's put out?

The specs for Honda's customer-bike built for the class says 47.6 hp:

I'm liking both the Moto2 and Moto3 classes this year for some great racing. The top MotoGP class is fun to watch for the skill involved, but the racing itself has become quite predictable. Seems like you can watch qualifying and extract the likely winner of the next day's race with almost certainty.

The moto3's have a minimum total weight for bike and rider of 148 kg (326 pounds). So with a light rider in the 100 - 120 pounds range, the bike can be in the 206 - 226 pound range. I do not believe that the minimum weight includes the weight of the fuel.

Quote:
Moto3 Class The 125cc class was replaced in 2012 by the Moto3 class. This class is restricted to single-cylinder 250cc 4-stroke engines with a maximum bore of 81 mm.[2] The minimum total weight for motorcycle and rider is 148kg.[3]. Riders in the Moto3 class can not be older than 28 years, or 25 years for new contracted riders participating for the first time and wild-cards.
more details in this link.

I usually watch all three races. I find them all about equally entertaining. I got tickets to go see the races in Indy this summer it should be fun.

Probably not, my girlfriend is going to come with and I don't want to ride 2up that far. If I had the option of riding solo I'd probably take the bike.

I agree, starting off where they left off last year, same 3 bikes up front. Everyone else don't stand a chance of winning.

I'll be there with my fiance one day, and a buddy another! Should be a great weekend. As a plus, I can't get my fiance on my bike, and my buddy, well…… he just wont be riding on my bike either. So looks like i get to ride there

It was great racing this week in Moto3 and I am really enjoying the class as it is shaping up. I have been to Indy all the years I have lived here and will definately be going again.

I think as with the RS125's thats a bit ambitious, most of the guys with them here in aussie reckon its more like 45 but still pretty good.

That sounds like a 125 weight if you ask me, I think my bro's moto3 is more like 80kg where his 125 is around 72kg

I cant recall either if that includes fuel, pretty sure it doesn't. Some really light guys, like Remi Gardner competing in Spain have to add up to 20kg's to the bike
