Adjusting my mirror

One of my mirrors started flapping in the wind the other day so I had to remove those little foamy things that cover the screws to tighten it. Is it even possible to remove them without damaging them? I pretty much ripped it in half and now its ruined

Do they sell replacements? Anybody else damaged their foamy thingies while fixing a mirror?

You can probably run by a crafts store and get some adhesive foam (thin foam) and cut it to the shape necessary.

Haha, yah I guess that'd work if the diameter is right! I was thinking something more basic like this: http://www.amazon.com/BLACK-FUN-FOAM.../dp/B003EN7K80

Just typical craft foam (though the adhesive backed kind would be better), you could cut out a circle, and stick it there! There HAS to be a craft store somewhere in NYC.
