Rear brake wont activate brake light-HELP

Ok so after installing my new speed cable, as some of you may know from the incident the other day, i noticed my rear brake wont activate my brake light but my front wire does when doing a thorough inspection of my bike. I read on some other forums and got some ideas, so i checked the spring for the rear brake and it activates it when i pull on it, so what is happening is that it looks like the spring that is attached to the brake on one end and brake wire on the other is to loose... Any one know how to solve or have experience with this problem?

Thanks

Rear brake switch is threaded, so get yourself some pliers or opened end wrench and loose the nut which will pull the switch farther away so when you press on the brake the light works.

Yes, the switch position is adjustable, so you can select at what position of the pedal the switch clicks and closes the circuit feeding the stop light.

The reason for the spring is to make a flexible link, so the switch reaches the on position and stops and the brake pedal can still move more.

The brake switch spring should be attached to the bottom of the rear brake light switch, the other end hooks into the hook part of the (fat) pedal spring. The brake light switch should be adjusted so that there is about and 1/2 in of thread showing just above the bracket.

I cant show you know becuase im not home but thats a great explanation and picture motofool is showing. You can also locate it by pressing the rear brake in and out and looking at your rest sets on the right and see a cable moving. That will be what you need to adjust with the hex nut its attached too, like on the pic.
