a quick google search turned up that the helmet pictured is made by a company called HelmetDawg and they use a Gmax brand helmet as the base.

Hah, I've been thinking of doing a 3/4 kind of like that, but more in the style of comic book Catwoman, though only for a costumed ride. I really feel weird about not wearing a full-face helmet.

Why not consider a dual sport helmet?

My Fly Racing Trekker definitely reminds me of Halo. https://www.google.com/search?q=fly+...MpS54APomIDYAg

It's not Snell certified but I'm sure DOT/ECE backings makes it worth it. Saved me from a 30-40mph crash with a truck too so...Yeah.
