so far Johnny is in for the Friday and Saturday night bunkhouse. I'm hesitant to sign up for both nights without a few others committing as money is tight right now. Any other definites?

There are pictures of the bunkhouse on ironhorse's website http://ironhorsenc.com/. And they cook the most delicious breakfast and dinner, though of course you have to pay for them, WELL WORTH IT! Friday nights they have killer prime rib (or they used to anyway...been a couple of years since I've been there). Folks rave about it for a reason. Those cooks (and old man and woman couple) know their way around a kitchen!
There's also a pool table, big ass movie screen with movies, and nice showers in the main house.
Now that I've tried to sell it, any other takers for bunkhouse spots for both nights?

I reserved a bunkhouse bed for me Saturday night. I think they only have 1 or 2 left, so if anyone else is interested, you may want to give the Ironhorse a call. I like camping, but I hate taking all the camping gear on the bike, and to me, it's not worth setting up tent for just one night.

I've got a room booked at my niece's house at the base of Dragon, for several days if needed.

Not many options. Most may be booked by now. There's the Ironhorse as mentioned above. Camping is cheap. There's Two-Wheels Only, but I've not stayed there before. There's Deals gap at the end of the Dragon, but guaranteed full this close.

i'm most likely out of this. Some other things have come up on that weekend which would make it difficult for me to get away for the entire weekend.

Maybe next time

Hey all. Ok, roll call! Who's definitely in?

I'm riding up Saturday, will be there before lunch. Staying in a bunkhouse at the Ironhorse motorcycle lodge. I'll ride back home Sunday after lunch.
Is there a plan? A meeting time or spot for those of us arriving saturday?
I'm going to definitely hit the Cherohala while I"m there, probably Sunday. It is a MUST-RIDE while in the area.

So roll call! Copy and paste this into your reply and add your name to the list:
1) Ally 17th-18th
2)
3)
4)
5)

Surprised they had room. I thought all us V-Stromers had it all booked up. The Eastern V-Strom gathering is at Iron Horse that weekend so I'll already be there on the Strom. I would like to ride the Dragon on the Ninja sometime though.

Same here, though I was already planning to go before scorch's journey. I didn't do a big trip last year so I want to do one this year. Maybe next year I'll head down to key west on my bike or something, at some point I'm going to eastport maine (farthest point east in the continuous & my uncle lives there & my lil sister goes to school in the area) and later on a trip to cali/oregon/vancouver/toronto & back. I'd say my 300 is capable of it hahaha

If you end up camping, then I'll be camping too since I don't have a reservation yet.
