Gpx 250 clutch issue (i think)

Hi,
My father and i just replaced the clutch plates in our Gpx250.
Now that we have done that the bike starts and runs fine,
doesnt go anywhere or do anything in 1st (makes a clunk like normal) as if it was in neutral and we are unable to shift up from neutral.

What could be the cause of this?

You have the clutch pressure plate out of index. The plate cannot compress the clutch plates. There is a mark on the basket and the pressure plate that have to line up. Once you see how it works, you will understand.

The bike will not shift into 2nd gear unless you are moving. The feature called "neutral finder" makes it easy to find neutral while sitting still.

Take the clutch apart, orient the pressure plate, reassemble, and ride.
