Jennings in November - anyone want to come?

Anyone interested in riding Jennings with me on my birthday weekend, Nov 8 - 10?

If I wasn't already committed to Barber in September and Cresson in November, I'd try to make it work. But my wife says no more this year.

Do they allow textile overpants and a mesh jacket or do I need to buy a leather suit?

Leather is required for most tracks that I know of.

I have justified buying a leather suit. Any recommendations on whether to buy two piece/one piece and entry level suits?

I will also be attending that weekend. I've never met any people from this forum so it should be fun. I also never had the chance to take the 2fiddy to the track so this should be interesting...

I'll be looking up my exam schedule across the next week and get back to you on that. If it's within 2 weeks of an exam then it's a no-go if it's not then I'm there. I was already planning to go to a jennings track day so the budget is already there though I had been assuming the next ninjette one (I like track days w/ppl from the forum) would be in feb

I'm looking at $325 for all 3 days is that correct or am I missing other various fees?
also, I love the idea of a mid-winter 3 day track event where it's warm, day 1: learn the track then day2: work on skills day 3: work on other skills then set a solid quick lap and get some knee on the ground

Well hell yeah! Fun! I, personally, love my 2-piece suit b/c I can easily shed the jacket between sessions. It also makes it a bit simpler to pee. But others would prefer their one-piece I hear, so it's all about personal preference.

Jennings is nice and cheap. The only additional fee is a $10 gate fee per person. Camping is free...i think electric is too??? I'd only ride two of the 3 days, depending on work. I'll either ride Sat and Sun (most likely) or Sun and Mon (preferable), but again, work.

Lemme see what I can do. My biggest issue is my kids will be in school and I will have to see how to arrange the family's schedule.

Yeah! Let me know! I'll probably only be able to ride Sat/Sun, leaving a bit early on Sunday for an early Monday morning at work.

I haven't even read all the posts yet- but I WANNA GO!!!!

My October race was canceled at Jennings due to noise complaints. And I will not be able to attend the October race of Champions at Daytona. And I will likely miss the last race of the year because of my anniversary.

THIS ALL POINTS TO YES!!

Prices are rising in 2015 for the first time in many years

Camping is free. We usually have beer, good stories, and a track walk after the sun goes down.

Electric is free for 110v power supplies. Blow a fuse and you will be an instant enemy. There are power hook ups for RV's and full rigs, but they are not free.

3 days of riding is hard to do- waking up for work Monday morning is very hard to do.

Tip: When you plug in your cord to the power pole, tie the cord around the pole first... then plug it it. So many times we tripped over them and it would come unplugged.

I saw a kid get clotheslined by a cord that was pulled tight to someone's trailer.

Didn't come unplugged but the kid got laid out.

i can still hear those same 3 songs that kept repeating over and over again because the cord kept coming out... glitch mob "we can make the world stop" was one of them.

The after-party is almost as much fun as the day itself at the track. Good beer for damn sure!

Well the wife didn't say no

I'm shooting for Saturday and Sunday. I'd arrive Friday night and camp- hopefully within the gates.

When will you all know for sure if you're going?

I'm pretty damn sure I'm going, probably arriving Friday. I won't sign up for sure until a couple of weeks out when I know how finances stand. I'll stay in a hotel because I don't have a tent. I may end up riding all the way there and back too. I don't much trust my trailer (or myself to tie it down right. )

If you come to Jennings, I'll assist you in your endeavor. We can shake hands with everyone out there.

No pressure. I'm teasing you, though it would be so much fun to track mingle together again!

alright it's looking unlikely based on the timing of exams being the following week but I still want to do it so I'll know closer to the date whether I'll be able to pull it off or not, depends entirely on how I do on the first round of exams/projects and how comfortable I am with the material heading into the second round a week later. School is the priority but I love riding so there is a conflict there

Who told you that? To my knowledge the noise issue was only effecting race orgs.

They did have to lower the maximum dB.

Wut? I hope not! So far it's still listed on the calendar...

Yea, my bad... it was rumors from my track travels. Races are up in the air but track days are on. I called and confirmed, and hoping to make the trip.

They did have to lower the maximum dB.
Some cats in the paddock, should have known better.

For realz! The chatter around the dinner table right now is to drop the wife off in Jacksonville and head over for the days while she soaks up some sun. Or.... she comes and provides pit crew support/umbrella girl duties. lol And then, I owe her 3 days at the beach r&r. I am leaning for her to come and enjoy the track time/paddock party.

Do you think an RA with two brothers exhaust and no cat mid pipe will pass noise inspection?
